Marketing Manager - Philadelphia Eagles (Philadelphia, PA)


ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW The Philadelphia Eagles, under its current leadership, have quickly become known as one of the more aggressive and progressive organizations in professional sports. It is an organization succeeding on many fronts.
After three consecutive NFC East Division titles and appearances in the NFC Championship Game, the 2004 season culminated in a Championship win and an opportunity to play in Super Bowl XXXIX.

The executive offices of the Eagles' organization are located in the NovaCare Complex. This spectacular 108,000-square-foot-facility offers the very best in terms of space, amenities, care, and effort put forth for the players, coaches and staff of the Eagles' organization. The development of this Complex, integrated with a partner, was unique in its approach and has become a model for other teams.

The Eagles have successfully opened their new state of the art stadium Lincoln Financial Field. This stadium is managed and operated by the club, creating new opportunities and challenges for the organization.

POSITION SUMMARY The Marketing Manager will be responsible developing and executing marketing properties and business development ventures that generate revenue, build the Eagles' brand, and increase the long-term fan base. This includes managing special events, new business development, market research, gameday entertainment, and advertising. Duties will also include managing new projects and initiatives including the in-stadium contact-less payment system, affinity credit card program, and waiting list.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS The Marketing Manager will report to the Senior Director of Marketing of the Philadelphia Eagles.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, manage, and analyze market research on the Eagles brand, the Eagles fan base, new advertising campaigns, new business ventures, and all of the Eagles existing marketing vehicles.

Create strategies that map to the analysis.

Manage Gameday entertainment including coordination of on-field activities, halftime entertainment. Create and execute the gameday script.

Manage business development projects such as Eagles Extra Points and Pay Pass. Create and execute business plans to develop these initiatives and generate revenue.

Manage the Eagles Extra Points credit card rewards fulfillment.

Manage special events and event marketing.

Includes creating marketing and operations project plans and budgets.

Market and manage the Eagles Waitlist.

Manage Training Camp business operations, including but not limited to, facility set up, a 20 person intern staff, autograph sessions, credentials, and acting as the key liaison to Lehigh University.

Coordinate and traffic all media including print, TV, radio, etc.

Work with graphic designer to create ads.

Develop and implement business plans for new business ventures

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Sr. Vice President/Business Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of customer-focused marketing.

Demonstrated ability to create business plans for new products and business ventures, including the ability to conduct financial analysis.

Knowledge of corporate partnerships.

Project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Proven creativity and ability to develop advertising campaigns

Understanding of advertising and media purchasing

Ability to create, implement, and analyze market/customer research.
