Community Relations Coordinator - Buffalo Bills (Orchard Park, NY)


Reports to: Vice President, Marketing and Broadcasting and Director of Community Relations
Compensation Range: Commensurate with Experience

JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage day to day responsibilities for community relations programming.
Responsible for development, implementation and management of community programs and events.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners.
Work closely with community partners and organizations to ensure effective programming and events.
Discover and define ways to use our resources to most effectively and efficiently have a positive impact on our community.
Communicate and work closely with business development on all sponsored programs and events to ensure sponsor needs are fulfilled.
Produce annual follow-up reports for all programs and events.
Manage budget.
Assist with the local implementation of NFL programs.
Responsible for updating the Bills page on the NFL intranet and NFL community website.
Write and submit grant requests to NFL Charities for specified programs.
Submit follow-up reports to NFL as required.
Manage administration of Buffalo Bills Youth Foundation.
Coordinate all administrative functions for Youth Foundation including producing and mailing out grant application forms.
Oversee grant application and approval/denial process.
Coordinate follow-up meetings and site visits with potential grant recipients as needed.
Work closely with accounting department for grant check requests and administrative procedures.
Work closely with media relations department to highlight community programs and activities through all possible media outlets, both internal and external.
Write press releases and follow-up articles on community programs and events when required.
Coordinate community relations activities on game day.
Assist with other game day activities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent organizational skills.
Strong work ethic.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
Ability to multitask, prioritize and complete tasks in a high pressure environment.
Desire to learn and work with a variety of individuals and organizations.
Ability to speak in public to small and large groups in various settings.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Ability to react and respond to immediate needs while managing day to day activities.
Strong word processing and spreadsheet skills using Microsoft Word, Excel database management and graphic knowledge.
Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred.
Bachelors Degree.
