Same here, but I happened to remember it being used recently and I'd wasted 3 or 4 guesses and didn't get it right.

I got No. 8 from just throwing shit at the wall to see if it would stick. I can't remember the last time I've heard that word used.

I wasted guesses on that too. Probably guessed the same answers as you. 8 is kind of obscure. Feels like I've used that one in a puzzle recently.

I always use raise as my first word. I gives anywhere between 1-3 letters almost everytime. So that gave me rai. Then it was just a choice between hairy dairy or fairy. I guessed the right one.
