Took me a few minutes on this one... I got all the letters by row 5 but they were all out of order... so I just typed them into row 5 and stared at them until a word formed in my head and that was it.

I've never been one to try and get the answer in the first 2 tries... and I'll burn a whole row guessing a word that may not contain one of the letters I know are in the word just to get other letters or get the letters I have in the right place. From there it becomes easy... that's why most of my wins are in rows 4 thru 6.

I guess I did word #238 before the NY Times took over. I followed the link from the 1st post just now and the original link popped in my browser before going to the new link.

It let me play the word twice and gave me the dub... so I pretty much did a little stat padding just now...

My first guess is always something with two common vowels together, like HOIST or VOICE, etc. From there, I try another using a different vowel.
Finally, I try to use a process of elimination based on the remaining vowels and whatever consonant comes up yellow.
