Any tips on how to find someones bank account or employment info you've won a judgement against? I can see what would drive someone to beat the shit out of or just shot someone over money their owed when you go the legal route and are left to your own resources to find this info.

If your attorney who helped you win the case isn't ready and able to dig up the info, find anther who specializes in this. Many people hide assets legally for this specific type of situation, and a good paralegal/investigator can uncover the facts (doesn't have to be an attorney).

Unfortunately, you may find anything worth seizing may be under a Trust/LLC or in someone's name other than the person/entity you won judgement against. Go get 'em!

Make SURE the person you won a judgement against knows that attempting to transfer or hide (and receiving) assets is considered fraud. Let them know that you have an attorney that is investigating the matter and reviewing financial records. Let his family and employer know this.

Make it so that no one is willing to hide anything for this person.

You didn't mention what state your in, but generally, after you obtain the judgment you should file a motion to answer interogatories (questions). The process is different in different states but the idea is that you submit a list of questions for the defendant/creditor to answer about their financial assets, this could require a court appearance or could be done through the mail. The effect that it has is the person can be found in contempt if they don't answer. Again, it all depends on the state.

Until you find your info, your best bet is to file papers to offset any refunds he gets through the Federal and State IRS. You simply have to record a lien on the man's social security info (the court should have that, if not, there are various websites that can do this) with your county. This is slower but, it worked for me once. Old boy thought he was gettin a $2300 refund from the IRS and a $750 refund from the state but....wham! I got dat ass! I collected all of his shit in one lump sum. Good luck.

I'm in NYC but I don't think the court'll turn over the person's ssn. I'm going to look at the information supeona that'll find them in contempt if they don't answer. Thanks for all the input. The other supeona of information in NYC is worthless because theirs no way of getting someones employment info or bank info if they live with their parents, besides going to various banks and trying to find out that way and that's too time consuming.
