Woman Tries to Molest Sister’s 12-Year-Old Friend at Sleepover

HOUSTON - A woman is accused of trying to sexually assault her little sister’s 12-year-old friend during a sleepover at their home, according to Houston police. Jasmyne Lashay Gilder, 21, has been charged with attempted indecency with a child.

Police said the girl was spending a night with Gilder’s sister on July 25 when Gilder tried to sexually assault her. The girl told her mother, who immediately reported the incident to police.

The victim was taken to Texas Children’s Hospital to be checked out. The child had minor injuries, but was physically OK overall, police said.

Gilder was arrested and her bond was set at $5,000.
