A woman almost died during sex after an ovarian cyst ruptured and caused internal bleeding.
Xiao Qing, 26, had not seen her husband in nearly six months when their night of passion went horribly wrong.
Qing was rushed to the hospital in Changsha, the capital of central China’s Hunan province, with severe abdominal pain.
Scans revealed she had ruptured a cyst and she had lost about 40 percent of her blood supply.
An ovarian cyst is a fluid filled sac that develops on a woman’s ovary.
Most occur naturally and disappear after a couple of months without needing treatment.
Qing was unaware she had the cyst.
Doctor Huang Wei, from Hunan Provincial People’s Hospital, said: “Had she come a little later, her life would have been in serious danger.”

An ovarian cyst usually only causes symptoms if it ruptures, is very large or blocks the blood supply to the ovaries.
It may cause pelvic pain, pain during sex, a frequent need to urinate, heavy or irregular periods, bloating and difficulty becoming pregnant.
Qing, who works in another city, said she and husband Xiao Dong, 28, did not get to spend much time together so were eager to get down and dirty when she came home from working away.
Qing is expected to make a full recovery.
