Wisdom Teeth Pull - Need some advice

All 4 at once. They had to cut my gums for 2 of them. Stitches in all four spots. I was fully under for all of this. I didn’t really have any pain. They gave me meds to take at night that had me floating. I did have bleeding for about a week but it wasn’t much.
My story was very similar... I had stitches on the bottom two.

My Grandmother came through when I got home; she said, "This is going to hurt now... but you be fine in a day or so." She made me some hot soup. Then said, "The heat from the soup will help you heal faster, and it'll help stop the bleeding."

I'm looking at her like, "Here we go with this Louisiana mumbo jumbo remedies again." I ate the soup, and it did hurt like hell. I went to bed right after. The next day, my face was swollen, but I didn't have any pain and no bleeding at all.

Them country folks ain't messing around. They have remedies for almost everything. :)

i didnt have to be unconscious for my wisdom tooth removals, they just used a lot of novocaine and then the tons of shots to my gums, upper and lower, eventho i was just getting the bottom ones removed.
the shots didnt hurt because the novocaine had already numbed the fuck outta my gums. the only shot that hurt was the big needle that they used to the roof of my mouth.
i couldnt feel the extraction, but i could tell that they were pulling because my head was damn near coming off the headrest.
didnt take long at all, and i didnt feel any pain in the hours and days after. but my gums and lips were numb for almost 2 days.

Got a wisdom tooth pulled about 3 years ago. Didn't go under fully just did injections in the area to numb it. Once it's numb the thing you got to think about that threw me was the crunching sound as they extracted the tooth. After that they gave me a codine prescription that worked well.

FUCK THAT!!! I haven't had any problems with my wisdom teeth since I was 16!!! I still have'em all, but apparently, to these dentists, all they see is dollar signs when they see you with them. I had to switch dental offices because they kept pestering the fuk out of me about removing them. I'm like "Why", he's like "Well one of them could crack down to the root". Me,"Doc, why would that happen at age 50+?" Him, "You just never know, and you have a good portion of your dental coverage that will go unused by the end of the year." At that point in my head, I'm like, I see what's going on here!!!
