JUDGES DECISIONS:

JUDGE Kaffeine:

Winner hands down - *DJ Candle - Nice production and lyrics.
Excellent chorus. The only downside to the chorus is the repetition of informing the listener real gangsta shit. This kind of takes away from how good the track is, but is definitely something I would actually bump myself.

Mufasa672 - Puts the listener in the mind of Guru. Good track flow, but stumbles on itself at times.
Rap is not that great, but not too unbearable. Production sounds sort of amateurish.

Skinnie Talls
- Mixed feelings about this track. It seems sluggish and going nowhere, but can slightly groove to it. Nice effort, but falls short of being a good track.

AlaskanRedman - This off key track attempts to be deep and dark, but ends up sounding like sound effects thrown together in a mumbled mess.

Slim Cutty - Nice groove that you can bob your head to. There is a slight ‘off’ sound within the track that doesn’t fit into the rest of the track. Overall decent track.

Chew My Grits - Nice but boring track. Would have been good in the early 90s. Needed more to it,
although I’m not sure what. Lyrics were decent.

Brabra - Too much going on that doesn’t fit. The track needs to pick a direction and go that way.

Gekko
- I squinted while I listened to this track. Its so hard to interpret that is borders on terrible.
Lyrics are the worst I have ever heard in my life. Wow is all I can say.

JUDGE Kaffeine's Winner is: DJCandle

JUDGE Born:

1~DJCandle~
Not really feeling it to much as it seems to simplistic.

2~Mufasa672~
This one is pretty much a run-on loop without much creativity.
The bpm is also to high for my liking.

3~Skinnie Talls~
More creative than the previous two but the chops are a little off.

4~Alaskanredman~
Smooth and relaxing but not much else.

5~Slim Cutty~
NOW we are getting somewhere. This one is definitely a banger and the quality is excellent.

6~Chew My Grits~
This one is official....reminds me of something from the underground radio stations in NYC in the 90's.

7~brabra~
Cool beat but not much of the sample is used so this one is automatically disqualified to me.

8~Gekko~
Too much goin on and the sample is just randomly placed inside of another random beat.

In a Unanimous Decision My Vote Goes To: SLIM CUTTY

JUDGE Born's Winner is: Slim Cutty

JUDGE: An RnB Thug:

I Felt This Sample had so many sounds, beats and vocals that could
incorporated in a track. I was somewhat disappointed most of them
were not used.

DJ Candle
- I felt this was a lazy effort = 5 of 10

Skinnie Talls
- Nice Opening, not much after that = 6 of 10

Alaskanredman - Nice Concept, Poor Structure = 5 of 10

Slim Cutty - Nothing to get excited about = 6 of 10

Chew My Grits - Lyrics was of beat at times, scratching was nice = 6 of 10

brabra - Nice Crisp Sound, Nice Bass Had Chance to do so much more = 8 of 10

Gekko - Cleary put forth the best effort just not enough to win = 7 of 10

Winner BraBra in a weak field this go round.

JUDGE An RnB Thug's Winner: brabra

JUDGE TEN:

Alaskanredman -
The sample is in there somewhere but I'll be dammned if I can find it!
Which in the commercial world I guess is a good thing as Alaskan could
prolly get away with not having to pay for sample use LOL. Either way
this is a creative piece of very left field ambient music. Created by a producer
who clearly has a very open mind and movie score type vision.

brabra -
Again cant hear much of the sample on this synth led slice of slightly dated
westcoast sounding rap music without the rap. A Cool track in it's own right
it just doesn't do it for me.

CHEW MY GRITS -
I really would of preferred to hear this without the rap acapella used on top.
CMG cuts the sample into a funky hiphop groove, adding grit to make it crunch.
Great snare and just enough kick to hold it's ass up.
I just think the funky music got a little overshadowed by the rap.
Nevertheless this is a great slice of east coast flava hiphop all the way
from the UK.

DJCandle -
Candle gets busy as a motherfucker on this top shelf hiphop production!
He rocks a boombap hiphop beat then dresses it with the sample cutting in
and out. It perfectly matches the rap acapella used on top and then if you
weren't already convinced he slams it home with a killer chorus melody.
This bangs hard and reminds me of that funky 90's hiphop back when
Yo!MTV Raps was the shit. Truly great production from a cat who understands how to really produce.

Gekko -
Real difficult to believe this is the same cat who delivered last months killer
winning track. This sounds so..all over the place..my ears are having trouble
figuring out what the fuck their listening to and why. Awful use of the sample,
and totally the wrong acapella rap to use on top. I never wanna hear this mess again.

Mufasa672 -
Heavy percussion, excellent use of the sample and the correct rap acapella on top.
This sounds like it's straight out of 1992 when HipHop was creative and had
a tribal feel to it. I think Guru himself would OK this remix. You heard Mufasa quit?
no way bullshit. After this battle quits he'll come back with more hits.

Skinne Talls -
One word for this track; Excellence.
Skinne truly cuts the sample down to the bone and creates not only his own
groove but a brand new ambiance to the track. It' the kind of hiphop that
makes me hit the rewind button just to believe what the fuck he just did to
the sample! Sounds like him and the sample had a huge fight and Skinne won.
This is that banging, creative, head nodding and spine crunching hiphop that I love.
Huge snare, round bassline, snare rolls, echo and a twisted sample. Perfect!

Slim Cutty -
Nice use of the sample, especially the way Slim has utilised the sample vocals
cut into a chorus melody. This rolls along very nicely albeit without much surprises.
It sounds like it's ready for a singer to get busy on, so it can get a final mixdown and
sent to radio.

TENS Winner is: Skinne Talls

SO AT THIS POINT THESE ARE THE JUDGES WINNERS:

brabra

Skinnie Talls
http://www.usershare.net/ledrghmply7b

BUT WE MUST HAVE A CLEAR WINNER.
SO A FINAL JUDGE WILL HAVE TO
CHOOSE THE BEST OF THE FOUR FINALISTS.

SO FINAL JUDGE CEELOCHAMP JUDGES THE FINAL FOUR
AND HERE IS HIS DECISION:
==
FINAL JUDGE CEELOCHAMP :

Im'a go wit brabra in 1st
Skinnie Talls in second
DJCandle in 3rd
Slim Cutty in 4th
although i had a hard time picking between Candle and Skinnie

I liked brabra's the best because it has the feel of a versatile track.
I can hear a nigga like Drake or Wayne on it but at the same time i can
hear a younger Jay on it. As well as Nas even Rick Ross. Even Jeezy could
get on it, it just sounds like a good freestyle session for anyone.

The other tracks; no disrespect cuz they were all hot, but the other ones
sounded like they were meant for a specific type of rapper. I couldn't hear
to many different rappers on it.

FINAL JUDGE CEELO's WINNER IS: brabra
