Windows 10 is the official name for Microsoft's next version of Windows

Although the HDD is slow, still shouldn't cause any driver crashing like that. Got me bro, confusing right there. Unless, the different virus protections running in the background is slowing it down and causing conflicts with other stuff. I know I ran into that issue back in the day with XP, until finally I had to depend on one good Antivirus software, that wouldn't make my system unstable.

i was fuckin with trend micro, then switched to bit defender, pc went to a crawl with that one , went to Avira Desktop free version for a month til i got back to trend, avira seems like it runs faster and lets the pc run faster but still dont know why its buggin out , think i just got a lemon, i work on pcs on the side and most of the pcs i fix when i remove the viruses etc run better than this shit, of course the majority of the pcs ive worked on are win7, i think i just got a lemon, it actually ran better with 8 than 8.1. dont get me wrong its not slow like a crawl but its slow for the specs it has, and another thing dont restart or shut it down this bitch gon take forever to boot up, besides the essentials , i dont have to much starting up on start up

Most people have touch screen monitors or touch screen with their laptops. So they have to adapt.
talking out your ass again, maybe 10% have that shit.

niggas just be lying to get in the conversation lol

then u are doing something wrong.
seriously

i say this in all seriousness

I have not had to deal with a virus or malware on my pc's in probably over 10 years.

I am a POWER user, and I do what I have to believe is much sketchier surfing than most people.

I do not use any virus shit and i have ZERO issues.

I skipped vista, so not sure abt that, and i fix people's pc's when they get virus laden, so i'm well aware that it happens

but you gotta be basically downloading shit with your hands over your eyes and checking every fucking box imaginable to get the shit i see people with. it's usually old people or chicks.

it's not the damn computer's fault though, that shit be PIC (person in chair) errors lol

If anyone has purchased a Lap top within the last two years will have touch screen. As almost all laptops not come standard with a touch screen and that will continue as the cost continue to fall.

Monitors that come with desktop are not offering a touchscreen as standard. Unless you are on a older computer you will have a touchscreen.

They should let me be their marketing director. :smh:

I've got a way better name for this shit.

There is a Demo out to just show the UI experience I think.

I got an laptop with per-installed win 8.1,used shell 7 or something to put that classic start menu back.

Now, I have Max 2014, Photoshop CC, Illustrator and FF running at the same time on this thing and it aint even stuttering. Just a whole lot of hot air coming out. The only time I saw it struggle abit was when I started The Transformers game after. After it fully loaded I could switch between the programmes without a hitch.

still waiting for someone to drop dem download lanks.

It's free, just go to the site and download it. You probably don't want to put it on your main system, cause it's only a technical release to help work all the bugs out.

This looks solid and if it runs like they're saying it should, I'll probably cop it at some point. I'm running 8.1 on my main computer and 7 on my laptop and I don't have a problem with either one. Most of the problems I heard people have with 8 dealt with issues with the metro screen and I can't remember the last time I checked that. I boot up straight into the classic start screen and pretty much stay there. Fuck a metro and those apps. I have apps on my phone and tablet, why the hell do I need touchscreen apps on my computer too :dunno:

PS .... I don't know who the fuck is in charge of naming things at Microsoft but they might need to go back to kindergarten and get some help with basic numbers.

person 1: "What should we name our 3rd Xbox?"
guy in charge: "The Xbox One."
person 1: ":hmm:"
person 2: "Well, what should we name the next Windows OS after Windows 8 / 8.1?"
guy in charge: " Windows 10"
person 2: ":hmm: .... I hate this job! Why do we work for this asshole?"

I have a Dell Precision M6800 that had Win 8.1 on it along with StartIsBack.

I made an Acronis backup of the original OS, then upgraded it to Windows 10. Everything went great, new start menu is cool, most things feel like Win 7 really. The few that don't are still in transition and just need to change from the old Desktop style to the new style. Mostly Control Panel and Admin stuff.

Just like Win 7 was what Vista "should have been", Win 10 is what Win 8.0 "should have been". Which ins't different than Win XP being what Win 2k "should have been", and Win 98 is what Win 95 "should have been"...

Check this Linux distro out. Multiple VM for increased security. Why don't they have this and VPN tie in to protect our privacy?

I would stay away from that OS, multiple countries have outright banned their product, they know something.

Not necessarily. I got a macbook pro in 2007. Took me a while, but I got used to it, and liked it enough, but it never really made me say I want to become a 100% Mac user. I used it daily, along side with my windows machines and linux machines (still occasionally use it, the damn battery swelled up....wtf).

its still on a pc at the end of the day.. virus and crashes and dead computers/laptops galore.. once u go macbook u will kick yourself in the ass for waiting so long to switch

Thanks for the review. Since I have a PC that needs to be redone I think I'll give this a shot.

If you think back to Windows 3.1 every other OS they've released has sucked. IMO Windows 10 s/b a winner.

An a special thanks to flx2000 for his posting.
