I thought it was ridiculous though that he was saying exactly what he was going to do beforehand. If he's going to release the information he should do so without making a big deal about it.

it doesn't matter even if they took him out tomorrow he's done his shit via the releases wikileaks has done already. plus that file put out on p2p networks....the most reasonable guess is he has told somebody the password and they will open it to the world upon him being detained.
