Why you shouldn't exercise to lose weight, explained with 60+ studies

Fuck this article, it's title and it's author. "Abs are made in the kitchen" has been a fucking staple saying for at least 15 years, nobody thinks they can put in work and then eat 3 big macs on the way home from the gym

U know what dude.. u r so right.. i swear whwn i get hungry i find myself to b more Vulnerable when im really hungry.. a few times i damn near just wanted to grab anything and started eating, i had to stop and think n say just drink some water.. then i go back to normal n eat what im suppose to instead of crazy foodz!
 
So a lot of people are saying this article is bs but it literally is saying exercise is a small portion of weight loss it goes on to say counting calories i.e. watch your caloric intake because 5 minutes of the wrong eating can ruin an hour of working out. So the refute that people are talking is literally telling on themselves that they didn't read the article

I was overweight somewhat and I learned it was more than exercise; it was mostly how and what you ate. Exercise is like 15% weight lose and diet is like 85%.

I thought I had to cut out sugar and bread which was part of the problem but I found out it was the fried shit that kept me overweight. Not even just fried food at the restaurant but chips like plantains, doughnuts, and yuka fries. Any fried food should be cut back on heavily if you want to lose weight and stay healthy.

Also make sure you get all of your sleep to get that 8 hours. Don't watch TV, look at the phone or Computer B4 bed.

at least four time a month... I had to cut that shit down to four times a year,

and ONLY if I worked out MORE than four times a week...

I love watermelon and pineapples, so when my weight starts to get crazy, because I can put on the pounds EASILY..

I just go on a watermelon/pineapple binge, and have a natural cold cereal in the morning like muesili with a lot of ground flax seeds, prunes and a banana... yo prunes are delicious in cereal...
better than dried cherries..

but that simple diet right there, WITH working out at least three times a week puts me right back on track...

I mean I dont drink water after a work out I just eat half a watermelon, and drink a strawberry smoothie....

I know a couple of trainers with masters in nutrition who always tell people diet is more important than exercise if you want to lose weight. Pretty logical.

Eat the same with a steady workout routine, you'll get stronger but wont lose weight.

Eat reduced calories and not workout, you'll lose weight.

The problem for me personally is that diet change commitment. :(

Again, you have to work out first. That will translate into long term weight loss and better eating. If you work out, you'll eat better and make better choices. Eat smarter.

Another thing in regards to working out. You have to work out. "45 minutes," as the article states, in the gym isn't going to do it.

so if I want to lose weight, all I have to do is watch what I eat and eat less and get some exercise... well isn't that always been the case? so if I do 45 mins on the bike and NOT go to happy hour but instead drink water, I will lose the weight...
Fuck that 45 min shit.Do some HIIT 3 times a week and eat healthy you good.

I don't know how much I trust these studies.

A year after I moved from Oakland to SF I had to do a physical. Found out that I had dropped 20 pounds. My diet stayed the same. If anything I ate more than before. IMO the difference was giving up my car for walking and public transportation and trading a desk job for one that involved chasing meter maids on a razor scooter.

San Francisco hills are no joke. I believe it's why you have WAY more fat people living in Oakland than here.

I meant, it's not that same price as regular peanut butter. People probably expect it to be, but it's not.
 
First off I just wanna say Bulletproof...

Second, in their so called study, they tested people eating exactly what? Untainted, real food? And not eating processed or preserved foods as to why we are obese? You don't have to watch calories or count anything if you eat real foods. You can eat til you're full.

Caloric intake restrictions is one of the worse things to do to you nutritionally. You have to make sure you are feeding your body fuel and not junk with no nutrients.

Vitamins play a major factor as well. Taking the right ones. I lost about 40 pounds last year cause of Bulletproof, and kept it off. I don't exercise, don't restrict what I eat. I just make choices when I eat. Avoiding sugars, starches, the ways foods are processed and intermittent fasting. Trying eat only between 2-8pm. I'm never hungry, I can go a day without eating. And if I want to lose rapidly, I can go a few days without food. Just feeding myself fats from grass fed butter and MCT oil. Fat should not be restricted from a diet. It is essential to lubricating your body.

Check out Bulletproof, changed my life and is pretty effortless once you get the hang of what is good or bad for you nutritionally.

Our foods are laden with preservatives while those in the wild or certain parts of the world don't use GMO's and look how lean and good they look. They eat like major portions of food and don't feel stuffed or are overweight. Food for thought...
 
Real Simple. Go Semi-Vegan and do meats on the weekends ( Doc advised me to do it and I haven't felt this good since I was in my early 20's). I keep my calories low with meals but I snack on the occasional cookies . I started my diet about 5 months ago and I've gone from 220 to 185. I also drink water 98% of the time. I usually clock about 2-4 miles a day and try to walk more than drive if the destination is within reason.

Okay I blended a mix of water, kale, celery, grape tomatoes, bananas, blueberries, raspberries, apples, grapes with stevia and ground flaxseed. Here is what I did though, I mixed it in a blender with a 64oz container and drank two 32 oz cups for breakfast and lunch, for dinner I ate a hot meal. This worked like a charm, your hot meal really could be anything I used to eat at Zaxby's all the time and still lost the weight. Bottomline if you can get pass the smell and the fact it looks like shit, you can lose the weight.

I'm willing to try it...especially seeing as how water is the base (instead of apple juice or orange juice). Why the Stevia? Seems like the fruits used would give enough sweetness.
