So now when I say that the downturn of SOL can be attributed to Da Con, people will understand me. Shit first hit the fan when this "mod" came over to SOL and banned Lonestar29 for no reason. When people spoke up about it, chickenheads around these parts wanted people to ignore it and "be mature" as they put it. Da Con was warned to not interfere on this side, but obviously it has not stopped **most of you missed his childish posts in the LOCKED rules thread**

Are any regular posters on SOL really surprised that he is still doing the same thing?

Over 180 new members have joined the Exodus board in the last 48 hours.

We toppled their one day registration record by 40% (143 new members in a single day).

There's no need for me to check in as much because my job is done.

If the mods are going to continue to get out of pocket like this, there's really no reason to even hang around and lobby for everyone to be reinstated.

I was always under the impression that Mods were supposeed to monitor threads for infractions and other anti-social type activities with a view to maintaining positive, free flowing traffic.
Unfortunately, it would appear that some Mods are prone to abusing their positions to just hand out bans that cater more to their bruised egos than anything remotely beneficial to the board.

A few opinionated members and frequent visitors of SOL have been quiet, to a degree, over this whole issue.

Well of course because most of them already had donor "citizenship" and as such weren't affected and could care less. Do you blame them? Shit, some people are also busy with other shit.
Shit was funny as hell to me ... in the begining ... there were some funny ass creative ROTFLMAO threads. ... it's slowly approaching redundency though, as I predicted days ago.

I'm glad the brothers came over here. Regardless of the selfish and possibly insecure reasons anyone might have to be opposed, the brothers brought some spirit and most importantly, some posts to this side. I have been thoroughly entertained. And informed.
I too, however, must admit that the "refugee/phuck bgol-main/viva la resistance" thread themes have gotten a bit redundant and cloying. Regardless of the degree of creativity most of my brothers have utilized to express the situation.

I also said in a post somewhere commenting on "inconsistent practices" ... (the points I presented were never really addressed but fuck it, Sarah Palin won a debate ) that feelings were obvioulsy caught by both the whining Fugees and the instigating and trolling Donors in the begining.

I believe some of this evolved into humor and clowning as some folks realized how foolish and silly this fiasco had become. Then it de-evolved.

I don't agree with the ban.

I can't condemn the spirit with which the ban was administered though.

If we say that Da Don over stepped his authority, and that he and HNIC are making power moves, we must apply the same mathematical formula with Imhotep as the constant, and realize that Imhotep coming in the "lottery" thread was also a power play.

The only point I would like to bring attention to, the only element that I can't shake, is it was Da Don's thread. Period. There has to be a level of respect for thread starters, and truth be told, yes, it was a bait thread, how do I know?

I'm currently working on a BGOL Grand Unified Theory of Everything.

Hopefully I will resolve the Unbanning/Banning Duality paradox, the SOL Mod-Edit Uncertainty Principle, Quantum Trolling and other stuff.

As we speak, I'm drafting a research grant proposal to The National Rapidshare Foundation for funding.

But please know I(cant say what any other mods did)went to battle for you, with the person I felt it was necessary to. And your ban was lifted on Friday.
I have just gotten to the point that I think it is humorous for people to sit back and assume they know something because they dont see it.
In reality all you have to do is PM and I will respond accordingly.
