I separate personal from music. I don't stop listening to music I like because the person is fucked up, and that actually wasn't my point.
My point was, people make hero's out of these athletes, artists, and act like they don't have fallacies, human frailties, etc. I was never a big R Kelly fan anyway so his issues didn't affect me much in terms of listen to his music. Thing with Prince was, because he was this mega talented artists, he and others talented people like him have been given this sort of GOD legacy. When it was initially pointed out he was possibly drug addicted, had HIV, etc. immediately the person to even question it was attacked, called names, etc. as if 'how dare you say something like that about Prince'....
I don't make Gods out of these people, and the fact that most people do probably contributes to them not being able to truly get the help they need that could possibly change their lives, as they have to live behind the 'mask' of their celebrity...
