why should i buy Macbook Pro?

Unless they want a computer that doesn't require disk defrag, or they don't want to worry about viruses, malware, etc. Unless they just want a computer that works when they needed. Unless they want a computer that doesn't require you to reload the OS at least once a year to get it running like it did when you purchased it. Unless they want a system than can run both Windows and OSX (as well as pretty much any other OS).

If they don't care about any of that.. and COST is their own concern.. then yea, I'd recommend aPC all day any day...

The average BGOL cat is smarter than Joe Humanoid. They don't pay Itunes for free music, they mod game systems, their porn is free, and they don't pay for shit they can take care of themselves.

How hard is it to run anti virus shit? How hard is it to defrag a computer? How hard is this shit?

For the people that want a mac, get a mac, but most BGOL members are good enough to run a PC and get everything they need out of it.

Yes it is, to people who only care about COST.. then go buy your lil $399 laptop or computer can be happy :D

I'll pass...I'm just fine with this.

Fuck the fanboys Macbooks are overpriced waste of money. Get a good sony Vaio. For the money you spend on a macbook you can buy 2 to 3 very good laptops. Computers outdate fast especially mac's All people can argue is the errors and virus that some people get(people who dont know shit about computers)

c/s mostly.

Mac sells a brand, people buy it cuz they like the idea of feeling superior. Buy a Mac cuz you want one, don't believe the hype. It's not better than Windows. They both suck. You trade one problem for another, and with a Mac you limit your software options. They BOTH have issues, anyone who tells you differently is a liart.

The whole "software just ... works" is bullshit. There's Windows and Mac software that "just ... works". Then there is Windows and Mac software that shitty as hell and makes you want to throw the computer out the Window. ( Once had a Mac that couldn't open a Photoshop file because there was a DVD in the drive ... :hmm:, spent 3 hours troubleshooting that bullshit )

The "macs are easy to network" line ... bullshit. Maybe with other Macs, but Macs had to catch up in order to play well with others.

The macs don't need printer drivers? BULLSHIT. Just like windows, mac has SOME printer drivers already installed. Not all.

I could go on ...

Bottom Line: buy a Mac because you want one. If you not too sure about it, get a PC ( Dell, HP, Lenovo only cuz they have better warranties ). I considered a Mac, but the hardware is overpriced. Bought a PC and I've been happy with it ( admittedly, I did erase Vista and install Ubunut and run XP in a VM ). Only had two issues with my Dell: it fell of the bed, and the adapter got fried but considering the fact that I plug it in everything it's prolly my fault.

Lol is it me? Or does everyone get those, "this nigga got a mac eyes" When i pull my shit out in public?

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

i just copped te new macbook...i didnt need the pro being that ii have an hp that "gets tha job done".....let my girl hold it down to leave me alone about buying a netbook:yes:

Nah I can still turn it on because the wire is still connected to the button.

I expect problems from all manufacturers in all industries but it's the frequency of the issues and the severity of them that matter. I don't think it's any secret that Apple computers are more reliable but also better serviced when they do have issues when compared to Sony. I can bring a Mac into an Apple Store and they will fix it based off the serial number alone. With Sony if you do not have a Receipt you're screwed and they will not honor the warranty which is what happened to me.

I expect them to have problems and they do. And offering repair based on serial number is something many manufacturers do. My son had his HP laptop serviced based on it's serial just a few month ago. Called it in, they sent him a prepaid box and in 7 days, he had it back all based on it's serial number. ALL FREE! He got it off craigslist.

My point is hardware breaks. Software breaks. All you can do is get the best deal you can and hope you get support when you need it. If it makes the sale to be told you will never have a problem, there will be a company there to tell you that. I would be highly pissed if I spent those kinds of dollars on a 27 inch and the monitor turn yellow though. I mean knowing this computer has this yellowing issue and you purchase it anyway doesn't suggest your vanity may have got ahead of your common sense does it? That is some hellafied trust to have. Props to Apple Inc. Its more trust I have for Apple or any company. That's just me.

I'd love to have all that real estate. 27 inch monitor is nice.

But it's your money, use it when you need it.

Can we please get back on subject here .....

Like mentioned before you should really wait until the new i7 powered Mac Book Pros come out.

Myself I would buy the older core 2 duo model when the new ones drop, because the price will be reduced, but that's me.

i wont even front my girl bought a mac and its been flawless since. out the box the thing just works. networking, printers, bluetooth, etc work out the box. has support for pdf, and other basics which she needs for work.
windows hasn't been touched since christmas.

although i do think windows 7 should be tight out the box, mac is kinda nice. it just comes with a price tag
