They say the same thing for every big city but that's not the case. I think white people just want the rest of the world to think that everyone is getting along in this country b/c they are telling other nations that they need to. Remember they were more ashamed of slavery b/c the world found out how they were treating "Africans" and not because it was wrong. Anyone that has read books by W.E.B Dubois knows he used to preach integration but he started to change his mind b/c it's not possible. Integration is only possible when "both" parties agree to live and work together as a community.

The women on here could safely say that some men on here are anti-women and some even anti-black women.You defend them, the male posters pull out a cape. You create a thread honoring them, the male posters say you are a simp.

I don't know about anyone else. But I ,personally, don't have a problem with you at all. Typically, I thoroughly enjoy your post. It is very refreshing to run across such a serious and passionate socially conscious mind. I have learned a lot from reading your post and always eagerly await the brain food that you are known to drop.

It just seems that a lot of the recent post seethe with an underlying resentment towards "browns". Even worse, these recent post make extremely broad generalizations. History vividly shows us that it is never wise to make these types of generalizations. This is confirmed in the fact that these recent post typically erupt with a downpour of insensitive and inappropriate remarks from others, "Fuck those spics", "Fuck those wetbacks", etc etc etc. Unwittingly or not, this increases mutual resentment, deepens, the divides and makes resolution MORE difficult. Oft times, its not what you do or say, but how you do or say it. There is a large "brown" population that visit these forums. They can read your writings and be inspired to invoke positive change starting with themselves, family, friends, and community, or they can read the plethora of negativity that your writings oft times generate and become hostile, resentful, or "anti black" themselves.

EVERY action has a reaction my brother.

At the end of the day, all NORMAL people want peace and prosperity for themselves and their loved ones. "Blacks" cannot solve all of the problems that we face alone. "Browns" are plagued with similar problems from the same oppressive forces. They cannot face their problems alone either. Together, we have a much bigger chance. No, the necessary unity is not there yet. To be totally honest, the necessary unity is in a discouragingly distant place. There is bitter resentment and manipulated anger on both sides. But we can use each passing day to slowly build bridges, or we can use each day to slowly destroy bridges. One road leads to the benefit of all, the other leads to the detriment of all. I believe that your intentions are noble. Lets work together to find the best approach to resolution.

Wow, this shit is crazy to me. I'm a Puerto Rican from The Bronx and New Jersey. I've never been to the West Coast so I don't know how Mexicans are over there first hand, but we have Mexicans over here & they hate me. Truth is around the area I'm talking about Mexicans only fuck with other minorities, but won't try to mess with the whites. They'll rob old black women & Puerto Ricans & Dominicans but never touch a white person. They've tried to jump me a couple times & stab me once.

I always grew up thinking Black & Browns were in the same boat. Honest to God I'm 100% Puerto Rican & I've been called a N word more times then I've been called a spic. I've been called a spic a lot buy white folks too. And I felt how Black people felt when being called the N word by a crowd of white people laughing at you. I even told them I wasn't Black & I was Puerto Rican & to them it was the same shit. I'm a N word to them even though my skin color is brown. My brother from another mother is 100% black & I've grown up with black people who took me into their home. I grew up saying the word nigga because I grew up with black people & felt the same exact prejudices as black people. I take it straight to heart when I'm called a N word or when it's said to a black person. White people sometimes try to say it around me, but sometimes bite their tongue when they see me around because to them I'm a N word. They don't care. To a cracker black & brown is the same stain on their white country.

As for Mexicans. I don't fuck with them. My mom tried to tell me we should help them out. We're all brown & shit, but why are they always trying to rob & hurt me? Fuck that. I don't fuck with Mexicans & I hate that they're giving other hispanic races a bad name. Don't throw Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, & Cubans in the same pot as Mexicans. On the east coast I've seen nothing but love between blacks & browns for the exception of Mexicans. The Mexicans hate anyone that's not Mexican. They burn our Puerto Rican flags in the hood & just straight hate us.

Also as for Puerto Ricans never doing shit to fight for equality. That's bullshit. In the 60s my mom particpated & helped organized sit-ins & protested to let minorites into the colleges in New York because the whites weren't having it. She was investigated by the FBI for YEARS to the point when her son joined the military they had to ask about her. She was very active & so were many Puerto Ricans. It's in history. Google it.

I find it ironic that when issues come up people always say that it's helping the white man. I'm not concerned with "them" I just concerned with black people (united we stand divided we fall) and how to uplift my people. You help your race and I will help my race b/c integration isn't possible in this country. That doesn't mean we can't get along though.
