Do you think someone is going to come in this thread and say "you know what, Binary is completely right!!! Also I think this is one of the last few bastions on the internet black men can talk freely without judgment...is it an echo chamber? Yes it is, but in the time I've been here, I've always found it interesting to listen to different perspectives.

Competition was always tough and had cats from usa & uk, beginners & semi-pro.
I hosted the battles, chose the samples, announced the winners and compiled the

Bro I have been on this site since the early 2000s, there has always been beef. Beefing is in the fabric of BGOL. Remember the Mousey/Montana beef? Remember Blunt? Anytime he/she posted anything cats were at his/her ass. Hell Beefing in threads is part of the entertainment.

If anything the site is much tamer/gentler than it ever was. I remeber people being ock'ed left and right and/or called FTPs.

We beefed in one thread and were cool in another. I don't remember Mouse beefing with anyone. They ran Montana off the board talking about how many kids she had. Black men have a problem. We go hard at each other but Zimmerman walking around untouched.

I really try to be diplomatic on this board and not call out specific people, but speaking in general terms doesn't seem to be working. We have a lot of sensitive people who complain behind the scenes CONSTANTLY. There are more than a few I have concerns over with their mental health. If BGOL ever disappears I honestly don't think they would last long. There's only so much I can do tho if people don't have the discernment to detect constructive criticism and/or the self awareness to act upon it.

When truth was posting threads with single line sentences that would have been a tweet anywhere else without pictures or links, he finally adjusted so people would stop talking shit about him. It took him a few years, and he still has coke induced posts, but he learned and improved.

When MangoBob was making lengthy posts in ALL CAPS that were difficult to read, it was mentioned to him and quickly adjusted. Proof he can learn and improve.

When masterbaker was making threads that started out with 20 posts of those annoying people laughing gifs, it took him awhile, but he also reduced the number of gifs so people could enjoy and respond to otherwise good topics. Proof he can learn and improve.

JackWalsh acknowledged the criticism he gets for posting pics in every post. It bothers some and not others. He doesn't care if you engage with him or not so he said fuck all yall he's going to do him. People who don't like it put him on ignore or turn off images.

Freddy isn't receptive to the fact his often nonsensical double spaced mile long paragraph-and-proper-sentence-structure free comments are difficult to read. People who get tired of it will scroll past like I do, or put him on ignore. If he wants to engage and have people engage with him then he will change and adapt or say fuck y'all like JackWalsh did and keep doing him.

If lightbright wants to have people engage in a positive manner, he will likewise learn to change/adapt and improve. I'm with you, I've seen some wars on this board the past 20+ years and this shit is tame.
