If there was a doorbell camera, I could have easily ended up in this thread yesterday, HBB.
Stopped by my dad's place in the evening. He's got a number of stairs from the front boulevard to doorstep. Small house but large rectangular-shaped lot. He's always said to be careful about slippery steps and I've had some close calls in the past. "Use the hand rail" is the common reminder. It was hovering around freezing at the time, and took a few minutes to scrape and defrost the car moving around like an old man. I was leaving after 10pm and had a backpack over my left shoulder & was carrying a small grocery bag in my right walking down to the car. I think that helped me not take more serious impact on the fall. Anyway, pivoted on the doorstep and walked down a stair or two & immediately did the banana peel slip and crashed down the rest of the stairs (10 or so). Took the brunt of the impact mid-back and tailbone and left elbow. Did NOT hit my head. The day after ... feels like mild hyper-extension of my right knee too. Damn. I fell like Candace on Floribama Shore, or Pesci in Home Alone. Vidclips below.

It's those last few bumps on the steps that has me laughing!
