Why I live in Florida

Heh, heh, heh... yeah, they're all over Florida. I wish, Wish, WISH that
one would show up at my front door. I'd be grilling that sucker up while
wearing my new Alligator footwear and belt.

Crawfish Stuffed Grilled Alligator
I lose sleep at night thinking about new and different things to cook on the grill or backyard barbecue. But this crawfish stuffed grilled alligator BBQ Pit Boys cooked up is turning me into an insomniac with new ideas!

This beautiful looking (and probably tasting) dish is a skinned 5-foot alligator filled with a crawfish-based stuffing. Crawfish Stuffed Grilled Alligator is the creation of the BBQ Pit Boys, a barbecuing federation that teaches members how to cook food properly. The alligator was the centerpiece of a full Cajun gourmet meal that also included poboys, stuffed red snapper, and deep fried oysters.

I’ve had barbecued pork, chicken, turkey, and beef, but never alligator. The narrator says that it has the consistency of pork and the taste of chicken. That squares with my experience of baked alligator. By John Farrier – Check out more here

Woo Hoo!! Oh FUCK yeah!!
1st vid:
- Look at how fast he went after that white woman
- It was a baby... possibly lost

2nd vid:
- That's a Florida Crocodile
- They are rare and protected
- Notice the size of the crowd surrounding it... and him not giving a fuck
- They taste just like chicken!!

Man I feel you 100%... Stepped outside to 75degrees... Once I learned how to avoid the people here and appreciate the environment, quality of life greatly improved
Man, eating Christmas dinner at the beach under the lit up Palm trees in 75 to 80 degree weather while wearing red Santa shorts with an iced drink in my hand and hollering at the snow bunnies in bikinis' walking by with my fam asking me to put some more meat on the grill.
Hell FUCK yeah... Christmas in Florida rocks!!!

Replace the snow bunnies with Black and spanish chicks and I'm right there with you... No lie it took me a lil minute to get adjusted, but now shitttttttttttttt, it's kinda hard to image living anywhere else - hell I just came from coolin at the beach, it just does great things for my mental

I was coming back from Zihuatanejo, MX a week before Christmas in late-2019. It was 110+ while there. Hot as fuck. Lunches on the beach. Walking around the city sweating profusely.

On the way back, there was a short layover in Calgary. It was snowing there on the way over, and on the way home. Got off the plane in shorts & tee and made my way over to the other gate. A lady coming down the escalator jokingly said - "Damn man - where are you coming from?" - I joked it was hot as fuck in Mexico. She was laughing and said "Nice! That sounds great right about now"

Get back to Vancouver and throw a jacket and some pants on. Head outside after 11pm and it's pouring rain and 40 degrees.

What a contrast.

:roflmao3:

I don't go to bars, clubs or large public gatherings... I do things where I got my own space - beach not on the weekend, small breweries, 2 seater water boats, jetski, kayak, springs, amongst other things... If I want a nightlife vibe, I go out when I slide back to Houston to visit fam

while I am both an extrovert and introvert, being born and bred in nyc, I cherish ME time, especially me time

with personal space.. I love beach life, but hated crowded beaches... its why I love places with nice beaches

that dont get frequented.. which is damn near hard to find but it exist..

Yea I think I would like kayaking tho, gotta add it to my ascension list...

Nothing like enjoying your me time... good tips!

I'm telling you bruh, I feel that... ME time is something I put a high value on... But I had to learn that in all honesty... Regarding the beaches, if it's the weekend and I got people visiting, I'm willing to drive an hour to 1 of the 3 smaller & less populated beaches vs one of the more populated beaches... I live 10 minutes from one of the most popular beaches in Tampa, but I only go during the weekday because I know there won't be a lot of people...

First time kayaking, was during the SpaceX shuttle launch, my dawg told me it was the best view so I tried it out... Me and my girl loved the experience and the vibe, so we make it a habit to find different kayak spots throughout central FL...

Yeah, we have issues with "Florida Man" and all the crazies that move here from up north, however,
I've never had to do this to get to school or work ...

If there was a doorbell camera, I could have easily ended up in this thread yesterday, HBB.

Stopped by my dad's place in the evening. He's got a number of stairs from the front boulevard to doorstep. Small house but large rectangular-shaped lot. He's always said to be careful about slippery steps and I've had some close calls in the past. "Use the hand rail" is the common reminder. It was hovering around freezing at the time, and took a few minutes to scrape and defrost the car moving around like an old man. I was leaving after 10pm and had a backpack over my left shoulder & was carrying a small grocery bag in my right walking down to the car. I think that helped me not take more serious impact on the fall. Anyway, pivoted on the doorstep and walked down a stair or two & immediately did the banana peel slip and crashed down the rest of the stairs (10 or so). Took the brunt of the impact mid-back and tailbone and left elbow. Did NOT hit my head. The day after ... feels like mild hyper-extension of my right knee too. Damn. I fell like Candace on Floribama Shore, or Pesci in Home Alone. Vidclips below.

Ha, Haaaaaaaaa!!!! Man, I'm glad you're ok. Slipping on ice is *NOT* fun. One time I was walking from my car through an iced up parking lot to a building when I slipped... and caught myself instead of falling. Hey, cool move, I thought. I was so *WRONG*. I ended up pulling a muscle in my calf. The next day, that bitch hurt like I thought my leg was going to fall off... and kept hurting for about two weeks. If I would have just taken the 'L' and let myself fall and roll, I would have been embarrassed, but, good. That pulled muscle was the worst pain in my life.

Thanks man. Yeah, I’m lucky it wasn’t worse! Could have been concussed or had a head injury. A family friend in their 30s was hospitalized with a brain bleed some years back landing on icy stairs. These stairs were deceptive. Looked dry and cold. And when you’re airborne you don’t have that reaction time in the dark on an angle. I’ve had near falls before. This was a legit craaaash.

I hear you on a pulled muscle! It’s like getting a serious muscle cramp or spasm after sports. Or a muscle strain or sprain. I thought I tore knee cartilage in HS hooping. They were like it’s just a deep strain or sprain at hosp’. I’m like, that’s all? Sure feels worse. Weeks later in a knee brace from pharmacy for support, lol

Swear I'm so damn close to moving down there. Still on the fence whether or not we about to go down there for the next 3-4 months and just coming back to Ohio when the weather breaks. Got a week to make up my mind. I know the kids would love being on the beach in the middle of winter.

Ohio starting to feel like Scotland or some shit but cold. :smh:

I was talking to a friend of mine recently who is taking early retirement. He's approx mid-50s. Taking early retirement in 2 weeks. Asked him if he's looking forward to the relaxation, and he said yes. They're moving back to the eastcoast of Canada. But first he noted ... they are going to their timeshare in a hot climate and laying low and being safe. Not sure if their travel plans have been impacted of late due to the rising case counts, etc. They will be there from January - May to avoid that bitter eastcoast cold. Smart move on their part.
