Why doesnt Chris Tucker do more movies?

I remember an interview he did a while ago saying that he was basically chillin and enjoying life.

but seriously he has done only 2 movies since 1998 (rush hour 2 and rush hour 3). He made a shit load of movie from rush hour ($20,000,000) and rush hour 3($25,000,000 + 20% back end gross). He got a bently and like 3 houses everywhere. But dam i guess hes really content with that cause he doesnt even have any more movies lined up.

Man the simple answer is he is too well off with the whole Rush Hour shit. I think he is one of the funniest mofo's, wish he would do a stand up or something. But I think there was rumors of a Rush Hour 4 flying around. They can make a part 7, will never stop being funny to me. Every Rush Hour was funny, to this day can watch them and laugh.

Back in the day he said he was being careful of the roles he took but I think he went overboard. Even if he had bombs that diminished his earning potential he still would have had at least 3 10-20 million dollar paydays. He could have been the cat that takes Wills left overs.

A different kind of Will Smith. Will Smith parlayed getting pimped early on (his first couple movies he got 5-7 million or so but went on to make 200 or so million) to being the pimp (getting paid 20 million PLUS a percentage, usually 10-20, of the gross). Chris Tucker could have made more movies, but he stuck to his guns saying he wouldn't play any Smokey-type characters anymore. He, like Dave Chappelle, made his money and hopefully invested well, so he doesn't HAVE to work. Good for him. He wasn't a great actor, but he was good at what he did. Now, he can chill and hopefully not go bankrupt.
