Ethnic Cleansing...

I see the treatment of blacks in the 60's similar to what the Jews in Germany experienced. Both countries instituted segregation policies, segregated housing, the lack of opportunity. Once the Civil Rights Movement achieved voting rights and other gains, that is when the drug laws were put on the books by Nixon.

Any fool here that thinks it can't happen in the U.S. is in for a rude awakening. The next time some politician tries to sell you on passing laws to be tough on crime, I would reject them outright until they are enforced equally.

You know where they are coming to enforce the laws.

Because it's easier than addressing the economics behind the high unemployment, it's easier than addressing the sociological reasons behind the segregation, it's easier than addressing the psychology behind black people being so violent to each other, and it's easier than addressing the politics behind the wasteful War on Drugs.

Short and sweet:

It's easier than addressing racism!
