Why does the father shoulder all of the blame when the daughter turns out bad?

I'm guessing because in an ideal world a daughter would want her man to resemble her father, because he has the characteristics to protect and raise a family.....if she picks a bum for a dude, where did she get the idea that that was the type of man to find desirable ??

The newest phrase seems to be that the man failed as a father when the daughter doesn't turn out right, e.g., if the daughter grows up to be a prostitute or a porn star. Why isn't the mother to blame when a daughter turns out bad? Usually the mother has more influence on a daughter once the daughter begins puberty.

Once the daughter becomes a teenager the mother typically has the final say if something the daughter is doing is questionable. The dad is deemed as prude and out of touch and gets ignored, especially when it comes to things of a sexual nature--such as the way a girl dresses or who she hangs out with or dates. If the father disagrees usually the mother and daughter conspire behind his back and do what he objects against surreptitiously. There's really not much a father can do if he disagrees with the daughter once the mother conspires with her.

Given all this, why does the father fail as a dad if his daughter turns out bad?

Look at things in their respected context. Sometimes you just have bad seeds. And besides this is the USA, and things are entirely different here when compared to other nations.

While this is true to some extent, parents do have the responsibility to lay a good foundation. When there is a bad seed there is usually a point where the child was getting away with stuff they shouldn't have and the parenting was not consistent. That leads the child, from a very very young age, to learn that they can test the boundaries and get away with certain things. Therefore they try their parents and every other authority figure at every turn. Then as teens and adults they continue to do shit that people say they shouldn't because they have had some success at trying dumb shit all their life. Some never learn and will only respond to strong authority like the military. That's why you can have someone that had a great career in the military get back to real life and constantly fuck up.

I think in the case of Lawrene Fishburne people had a certain image of him and knowing he was still in his kids lives people expected him to be a strong role model and his kids to come out a certain way ... IMO people are putting too expectations on him cuz he is a celebrity ... I mean people actually exepected him to be that tough no nonsense dad from "Boyz In the Hood" in real life but that was just a movie ... people need to get focused

well i feel that no blame should b on him or the mother. as a parent we do are best to raise our kids. Most of us! So i can i blame a parent for how their child turns out? When they get to that as she is. She began to make her own choices in life. N if i have five children n four of are alright n the 5th one does crazy or irrate things, i guess i messed up? Nope i did the best i could to guide them n show them...
