What gets me is that everybody's shitting on Harris not being "authentically" Black. Although I probably won't vote for her, I've gotta say this - if she's "faking the funk", how on earth did she become an AKA? She wasn't an honorary AKA, and I don't think she would have made line or crossed if she wasn't about being Black - the women she pledged under (and her line sisters) would have weeded her out. Granted, she may have been "bougie" ( although not all AKAs are bougie ( bolded for emphasis, so I won't look like I'm stereotyping)), she really doesn't really have a foundation for that, since she was raised by her Indian mother in Canada. Since she went to Howard, I could see her being one of those nerdy types (not that there's anything wrong with that) who would try to fit in period, not just trying to fit in to being Black.

Part of the African American stuggle is dealing with all the others who hate Black peeps. That exists in Canada too by the way. Having an indian mother doesnt change much when your name is Kamala Harris. She goes out in the world and she is clearly seen as black.

I do have policy reservations because I've seen the history of her policy and heard her say in no uncertain terms that she won't be proposing any policies that directly affect black circumstances in this country. That's really all I need.
I think it's more of a 'do you' thing. Flow how you fucking flow. She was a POC, pro-pig(I'm talking the coverup) prosecutor who was just against legal marijuana a few years ago. Now she wants to say she listened to pac in 85', smoking weed is cool, talks to dead rappers, and rushes to pander to Jussie talking about fucking lynching.
