Been my male experience that when a woman gets pregnant with a useless man she wakes up right away to the flaws and character traits she been avoiding or that only make themselves visible when responsibility is placed upon him.

She usually wants to get a positive influence in the life of her child and someone who can and will support her physically, emotionally and financially when she needs help.

A child forces people to grow up or should but if maturity aint there it aint there.:smh:

Lets reverse the question for a moment. Suppose you are in a relationship with a female and u are ready to settle down and start a family.

She has been loyal,communicates well and has a lot of positive traits and you are in love with her. None of these necessarily mean that she will make a good wife and or child mother.

She may turn out to be lazy and selfish and mentally abusive when placed in the confines of those major relationships changes i.e marriage and motherhood.

You never know what/who you really are dealing with until you both face adversity or hard times. Character is constant and can be concealed temporarily but never permanently. Eventually the truth of the person you are involved with will emerge it just needs the right catalyst.

Besides every woman does not set out to get pregnant, she may have been the victim of failed contraceptive measures or poor practices.

When people unintentionally get pregnant, it's because they gave into whatever strong sexual feelings they were having and usually, those feelings don't arise when they're around safe responsible people.

Though I have read some studies that suggest women are more attracted to a certain type depending on where they are in their menstrual cycle.

If both people involved would try to prevent this then it wouldnt happen as much. Wear condoms, get on birth control becuz condoms do break.

I am not a woman but I will give my thoughts. When a woman gets pregnant by a no good dude its usually one of a few reasons.

-She is tryin to keep him around
-They both got too comfortable having sex with each other and quit caring about the consequences
-Tryin to get money out of him
-Some just want a baby, not an actual family so they dont care who it is
-Sometimes it actually is an accident

Thats just my opinion becuz I have seen examples of all these

well if i was to put myself in that situation i would be thinking like:

-i'm bringing someone(s) into this world
-i don't want to do this alone
-i want to give them all that i never had, all that i wanted, and more....plus all the good stuff


then i would take a look at my current situation and realize that the "crap" that i have been dealing with aint suitable for my future little one.

yeah its backwards but shit...i'm glad something made them realize they need to be in a better relationship before the child arrives

i mean coming to major "I need better, or this situation aint right/working" realizations are common when you go thru a great life event....pregnancy is just one of them.

better late then never

i just hope that the women don't try to lean on "good men" as their knights in shinning armor. i hope they improve their situation and themselves as much as they can on thier own cuz they will start ruin a good man with old bad relationship behaviors
