I was having a very peaceful discussion with one of my classmates last week about religion. We were just having some lunch before class and were just discussing random topics before religion came up. She considers herself to be a christian.
I don't really knock people with what they believe in, that's on her but what bothers me is she's trying to preach her BS to me about God working in mysterious ways and doing things for her. About how her mom and brother saw spirits in her brothers new apartments, telling them to leave
and all types of crazy shit. So I just started asking her some questions like, if God is so good, why did he let 200,000 people die in Haiti? she said "Because down there, a lot of people practice witchcraft and are devil worshippers" So I said to her, the thousands of kids who were killed, they all practiced witchcraft too? Her response "When someone in your family does something, you'll have to suffer for their sins too" at this point, I was like aight whatever.
So I asked her a few straight questions. Do you and your boyfriend fuck? she hesitated and answered yes. I asked her if she drinks alcohol and smokes weed. She said occasionally, yes to both. A few weeks before, she told me she stole 2 pairs of jeans from her work
And I brought that up to her, she said, well I went to church and I asked God for forgiveness and I'm not going to be living my life that way anymore shorty was getting heated. I wasn't being a prick about it either, just asking her these simple questions.
The conversation got a little deeper, I asked her if she believed in Santa Claus or Unicorns, of course she said no, I took it from there and sonned her a bit. I really don't have anything against people who live there lives as christians or are religious in anyway, it's just the folks like this girl, who try to look down on people. This girl is always shitting on people in our class who mess up on tests or assignments (bitch is barely passing herself),who look a certain way, who's dressed a certain way, who talk a certain way, or whatever. Just being bitchy but yet she smokes, drinks, fucks and lives her life like a hypocrite but since she has "God on her side", she's better then these people (in her mind anyway). That's the shit that bothers me.
By the end of the conversation, she was so upset and ended up storming off. We usually sit a few seats away from eachother in class, she sat on the other side of the room by herself in class and hasn't said anything to me since.
