Why didn't they ask Cran, XFactor and SP?

for the most part, i AGREE with these on question 1:
Will Perdue: Both, but what I don't like is how he answered the question about the game plan. It sounds like he disagrees with Phil's plan.
Ric Bucher: Both. The game plan was sound, and they had their best chance to beat the Suns all season. Kobe didn't get the job done at the end, but it wasn't because the game plan didn't work or he didn't try. He simply didn't make shots he normally makes.
B.J. Armstrong: He was following the game plan absolutely. If they are able to win the series, it's going to take a contribution from the entire team. There's no other way to accomplish this.
Marc Stein: I believe Kobe bought into the idea that involving folks like Kwame Brown and Luke Walton in Game 1 would help give his untested teammates confidence to play aggressively throughout the series. He's been going 1-on-5 against Phoenix all season and knows as well as anyone that it hasn't worked.
Jim O'Brien: He was trying to do both. Sticking to a game plan is the way you generally win games.

Legler: The Lakers will not beat the Phoenix Suns unless they get more balanced scoring than they did in the regular season against the Suns. Lamar Odom and Smush Parker have to be in the midteens or low 20s in scoring to complement what they get from Kobe in terms of scoring.
O'Brien: If that was the game plan, Phil Jackson probably realized that in the long run it will pay dividends. The long run being not only this series and only this year but into the future. One player does not win a series. Playoff basketball is about adjusting and tweaking things from game to game. Miami is looking more and more impressive because their role players are stepping up and getting it done with Shaq and Wade. LeBron James seems to understand this fact already. Sacramento almost won last night because they realized their team is not the Ron Artest Show.

O'Brien: They should stick with their regular-season plan. There really is no other choice. I do not see what happened in Game 1 as a change in their approach. Give Jackson the benefit of the doubt.

INTERESTING that jim o'brien did not comment for question 6. if he had, he probably would've pointed out something that all these allegedly knowledgeable 'analysts' missed.

many in the press inexplicably have suggested that the fakers had THIS game plan:
1) focus on distributing the ball with emphasis on getting touches for the fakers big men through 3 quarters. in the 4th quarter, abandon that strategy and let tobe somehow win the game.

EVEN IF i am incorrect and scenario 1 is/was the correct interpretation, wouldn't the SUCCESS of the first 3 quarters DICTATE that you continue with what got you there?
why in the world would you abandon that style of play when it has you even after 3 quarters?
moreover, why would you REGRESS to a style of play that has been PROVEN to be ineffective against the suns during the regular season?

I like what Barkley said last night: Phil can flat out coach. He is exploiting the one weakness that the Suns have and that is their lack of big men.
It's about time Odom gets his due. I've always said Odom is probably one of the most diverse Laker there is. Marion is nice.....no match for Odom though..
I knew this was a 6 or 7 game series when this started. Two evenly matched teams.
Phil waited until the playoffs to reveal his plans...

There is no maybe about it. Odom is the most talent all around player on the team. Everyone wants to talk about Kobe playing TEAM ball but nobody is brining up the Odom and Kwame Brown's play. I am glad they are starting to feed the kid the rock on a consistent basis. Although his hands are worse than Pinkston and Trash, he still can score consistently on Phoenix when he cleanly catches and doesnt rush his shot.
As far as this article is concerned, seems like either the people were reading off of a script or teleprompter or are just trying to rile people up. Seems like this article is more about promoting players than giving insight on the series. Jim O'Brien clearly gave this most knowledge and information in his response.

Odom was here in Miami and would lead the team in scoring many a night. This man handles the ball like a PG, can post up and play center,the 4 and the three, can hit the three,block shots,and rebound. The Kobe fans were saying that Kobe has no help,the analysists were saying Kobe has no help,Kobe was saying he had no help, evevryone bought into it. That was my main problem with Kobe getting unfair attention. Not Kobe himself,just what the press tried to portray Kobe as something he is not. Kobe also beleiving his own hype.
Phil Jackson's plan was brilliant. Let Kobe get his scoring title and shoot all he wants the demand that Kobe play team ball. Kobe was actually leading his team last night. This is the Kobe I have been waiting for. It's just like in sales...Phil GAVE before he took.
LA was straight thugging last night. Playing tough minded. When Kobe went at Steve Nash the game before then dunked on him it sent a clear message to Phoinex and they look a little soft right now.
D'Antiono is being outcoached right now. He never prepared for the rest of the Lakers,just Kobe81. He wasn't ready to deal with Kobe24.
This series is far from over. Lets see how Phoinex responds.
