Why Did The Detroit Pistons Trade For Allen Iverson?

Well well well well well well well...

I TOLD people that once the Nuggets upgraded at the point they would be better.

I ALSO told people that Iverson and Wallace come off the books next year..that's 30 mil..

I will also say DON'T be surprised if Iverson goes back to Denver next year.

There maybe differences talent-wise, but as far as attitude (on the court) goes: Iverson = Marbury.

And you all know what happens when Steph leaves a team.

Man, you can't be serious! Why would Denver give even the 'slightest' thiught about bringing back AI? They already have plenty of gunners! That was one of their problems ...too many gunners, and not enough pasers. They will probably do much better this season with Chauncey at the helm.

That's a lock. I don't know the stats for sure, but I think they are like 14-3 since Chauncey got there. That's not the exact figure, but it's close to that. I also don't know the quality of teams or how many of those were at home, but regardless, that's a damn good record. And they still have time to jell. It's been a stunning success for the Nuggets.

c/s Denver has no reason to bring AI back.

A.I. bugs me...he has all the talent in the world to be the greatest point guard ever...a modern day Tiny Archibald.

I'm old enough to remember Tiny...the only man to lead the league in assists and scoring, the same season.
I also remember how he changed his game when he came to the Celts...and became more of a pure point, feeding Bird,Parish and McHale.

I think Iverson is missing that gene...the ability to change and be a point,or true team guy.Unlike Tiny....who got his ring with the Celts, which AI will always be missing.
