Well not just black people don't tip. They are getting a salary to work. A tip is not a guarantee or a right. No one chose that job for you. You had to know going in that was going to be something you have to deal with. Does a stripper have the right to call someone out if they don't throw dollars at her during her dance? Hell no. Maybe everyone isn't happy with her performance. So the waiter had no right to come out to her & talk shit. That makes him no better than her ghetto ass. That is tacky. That is the only thing I agree with her on.
If a waiter is attentive, brings me what I ask & checks back in, I will leave a 15-20% tip based on the performance. I would not go out to eat if I can't afford a tip. But you can't expect everyone to think that way. People don't cook now days. So if you are overpaying for a meal, a tip can not be expected from every customer.

I start out at 25-20%. If the service is good and the waiter/werver is attentive, I will give the 20%. If not, I will start to deduct. If the service is great, I will tip more then 25%. If the service is just bad I will usually speak to the manger before paying the bill and explain why there will be no tip this time.
Getting great service is best. I am willing to reward that if I get it. This chick on the video had no intention on tipping....even if the service was great. This is horrible IMO. When you go to dinner, you plan for the tip to. This hood rat didnt do that.

most waiters don't make a salary and the hourly wages are usually lower than most (sometimes even below minimum wage) waiters make their money from tips , that's why you tip. The waiter then tips-out the hostess and the bar from their tips, it's how these people make a living. People are so dumb if you don't know something, just ask ... fuck

Tipping is not a requirement unless the restaurant has a written policy that say..x% is added to parties over x amount...it's a courtesy. Nobody sends waiters to take jobs..they decide to do it. They had to deal with some of the dumbest fucking people in the world. If your eating out an extra 15% wont hurt you. most times you are only required to tip if it's a group of six or more. In that case you should be required cause tending to six or more people is fucking hard work. I've never been to a place that requires under a group under six tips. Maybe there are places like this out in the world but if you don't like their rules don't eat there. I know for a fact u can find 1000 places just as good that don't have that rule (if it even exists) I never said you HAVE to do anything I said your being an asshole if you don't. All I am saying is there is a customary 15 percent you leave for your server. It isn't mandatory. If you get fucked up service, that amount generally drops precipitously and I seriously have no problem with tipping that way if need be. And, if you don't have it, you don't have it. I don't have a beef there either. But don't try to escalate this into something larger than life. It's not that heavy, moral, logical or otherwise.

Waiters do a lot more than go get your food. They have to make the tea, bring ice out the back in 20 pound containers, refill ketchup, dressings, salts, put the food in portion bags for the cooks, clean the restaurant, sweep, bring dishes from the dishwasher up to the front, all the while, serving food, creating tickets, ordering drinks, making change, running food for other busy servers, refilling your drinks, replacing essential sauces in the back that they use for tables such as Salsa, queso, butter, depends on the restaurant.
AND the IRS taxes you on what you ring up, so everytime, you stiff a server, THEY end up paying the government for YOUR meal.
