Shit the last few days the videos would open a new tab on the Instagram page and thats how the video would play. Then when i closed that tab, it would give the "play again on Instagram" message but the audio was playing in the background.... It was weird
And now i gotta switch to desktop mode to see pics or vids....

I think this is an IG thing. It happened to me here and when I tried to play an IG vid on another site.
Reloading the page usually works for me....
sometimes...other times I have to reload it @ least 10x and if it’s a video when it finally does load up up it redirects me directly to IG smmfh #firstworldproblems #FML

Same was happening to me. I thought it was me or my browser. I had to click the description and then it opens the IG app.
But i used to be able to play the vid right on BGOL. Now it opens another tab, I hit the back button and audio is playing in the background but shows the same original post without vid moving on BGOL.

If your on mobile and just getting a blank rectangle with nothing in, then clearing out all you data the browser you're using should help. If you're getting a square with the Instagram symbol in it then what I'm doing is switching the orientation of the phone to wide angle then switching it back and that works for me. Iphone/Firefox browser here.
