damn hornets?!?!?

good FT shooting team, good 3PT shooting team, decent rebounding team,

BUT NOT

a great FG shooting team or scoring team.

longest current winning streak, quietly holding shit down with the best record in the west.

only 2 of their 12 losses come to non-playoff qualifying teams: indiana and minnesota.

doing their damn thing by having 5 stay relatively healthy:

chris paul
mo pete
the euro
david west
tyson chandler

BIG UPS to coach pressey, coach gattison and coach scott.

They are man… NBA folks are at least and now that they have the best record in the West [at least for today] more ppl will take notice.

I think people dont talk about them much, because they are probably the one team in the west, that who ever they play in the first round of the playoffs, they will lose (would be a good matchup with Portland).
Byron is doing a great job, and Pargo has filled in nicely for bobby jackson. Wish we still had him in LA.
And Tyson Chandler is looking like the next Marcus Camby. Hes great defensively and rebounds very well. It also helps that hes playing with Chris Paul, who gets him a lot of open looks.

Got Mad Respecty For The Hornets... That Boy Chandler Stepped His Game Up and Is Finally Looking Like He Knows His Role

Because it's too painful. Scott has left the Nets, went to a team in dead mufukking last place and now they're a top team in their division. All done with DRAFT PICKS and trading for good players with bad coaches (Chandler)

Meanwhile, Franks hasn't won shit, we barely get past the 1st round and we're currently in the midst of a 7 game losing streak and the Brain (or is he really Pinky?) has no answers.

During last night's Nets/Warriors game, one of the announcers was raving about Monta Ellis and how the Nets were so high on the guy they were discussing trading up to pick him in the 1st round of that draft.....

Well, even if the Nets HAD drafted Ellis, it wouldn't have mattered, because under Little Lord Larry (The Brain), he wouldn't be playing anyway. He'd still be sitting on the bench (next to Sean Williams, Marcus Williams, JOSH BOONE and Antoine Wright) learning Larry's oh so complex system....

Sorry for the Franks rant. This is about Scott and the Hornets. He's successful because he's not too scared to bench or trade away malcontents and he's not too proud to try a different system. Right on Byron

starters for the NBA all star teams were announced and NOT ONE hornets player in the lineup despite the WORSTern conference's BEST record.

double diss because the game is in NOLA this year too.

I'm just glad "Mr. Glass" isn't starting. But Chris Paul not being a starter is a shame. He and Roy will get snubbed this year.

why aren't more people talking about the damn hornets?!?!?

Probably because most people only follow the teams shown on Sports Center.

I posted in a thread on BGOL about a week or two ago talking about how the Hornets had a great team and built it the right way (with draft picks and the shrewd scouting of FA - as RS alluded to)

I think they will fall back down to reality but will definitely make the playoffs as a 4 - 6 seed as long as they stay healthy.

They have a very balanced team and play great D. The only thing they lack is a true go to player. (David West maybe?)

Quiet as kept, Camby is probably the best all around center in the NBA now.

If Brandon Roy doesn't make the team, it's a travesty. I'd rate him as the top SG in the Western Conference right now.

Not to mention he's a LEGIT MVP candidate.

If PTB wins 50 games and the Northwest division, I think you have give it to him. No offense to Garnett. (Same opinion with Chris Paul and New Orleans in the Southwest)

spurs beat the fakers and then the heat, and get SMASHED tonight by the hornets.

i hear the bandwagon come rumbling our way...

It was surprising to see such a close game turn into a blow out so fast.

The Hornets have a nice team and a great coach.

The Spurs have looked really flat as of late. What do you think the problem is?

Being that you are a Denver fan, when I first read this I thought you were talking about Marcus Camby.

After re-reading it, you were talking about T-Mac.

Just goes to show how many guys in the league are made of cotton. :smh:

The ironic part is that Camby has been the healthiest member of the team.
