Don Cheadle - got to be without a shadow of a doubt one of the most underrated actors period. "if you didn't want me to kill him, y'd you leave him with me"

Chiwetel Ejiofor - nigga is the truth, dare u to find a movie he aint kill

Taraji P. Henson - Hustle & Flow / Talk To Me is proof

Jeffrey Wright - No question, had me believing his red ass was Martin Luther King Jr

Anthony Anderson - homie was awesome on The Sheild

Tasha Smith - She stole "Why Did I Get Married". Her star is on the rise.

Cicely Tyson - One of the greatest black actresses ever.

Djimon Hounsou - He's a great actor. Ever since "Amistad" I have loved his acting.

man everyone named all the people i can think off i might have to say robert townsand (sp) that dude killed hollywood shuffle, the wayans family they were always one solid movie role away from being relavent in comedy, larry fishburn the dude has had many a role that he killed it on but never won recognition to my knowledge ( i could be wrong though) same with forest whiticker had many great roles and finally got recognized and niggas may talk shit for this but fuck it i will say DMX he was great in belly and never die alone sure they type casted him but he fit in those roles well kind of like tupac as bishop he played the role a lil too well for comfort you know he never over acted and never went over board he was a balanced mixture

I think we might be mistaking underrated with commercial success. A lot of the actors mentioned (Cheadle, Jeff. Wright, and so on) While not enjoying mega box office success. There is no critic alive that would say these aren't some of the best actors of our generation.
