wholesale printing/gang run prints

what up,

first off thanks to all the posters here there is a wealth of useful info here.
i am a long time lurker turned poster. been lurker here since way bay in the day when i worked for the competition karadavis...

my question goes to all the heads that are running printing companies. and specifically to greenlightprinting.

heres the prob. i do graphic design (web/print/signs/neon) then as a added service i provide print services to my clients. i have a cat that i been working with for years now. but the problem is he only give me prices "slightly" below retail. i only make lunch money on the print service and that gets burnt up when i try to add shipping/delivery. i been telling him to send me a price list and i will offer full print services from my co. and he'll be the sole print resource but its be like a year and no list yet. so no disrespect to my man but i want to cut him out. i want to get at the man the set the plates. i just want to send him a full sheet quark file and cut out the middle man and get my paper.

any tips on how to approach the print man. and how to set up me quark files?
or any other advice at all.
