Who would be best to fill out the Obama ticket in November?

Wow i wonder if there has been a situation where a person switched parties? im sure there have been a few i think Hillary Clinton, Ray Nagin, Michael Bloomberg, Pat Buchanan, Condoleezza Rice, even Ronald Reagan switched parties. I don't care about 8 years from now I care about the present.

I'd like Ralph Nader, he seems like the soundest person to get elected, LOL

Good comments. I just think that the presents of Powel in the VP slot would squash any questions of experience and he would be a shoe in after 8 years of Obama (if he could get a second term). As far as his history with Curious George and the Iraq war, he was just playing his position. I know from first hand experience that he fought to keep us out of Iraq but the hawks were too powerful to over come. He did what he had to do and dipped at the first opportunity he had.

I also think that Edwards would make a good VP. At the very least he would bring in votes.

Peace fam,

I would say bill richardson because he can help deliver the latino vote in places like cali, texas and florida. Plus, it would be like that joke chris rock told about a black pres and mexican vp. We know no one would want to assassinate obama.

peace

Co-sign. Richardson will probably get a Cabinet seat if a Democrat wins the election irregardless of the nominee based on his experience as a diplomat,UN ambassador, and as the Secretary of Energy. But I personally prefer John Edwards.

You beat me to it*.

*Wes Clark
Mike Warner
Bill Richardson
Russ Feingold
Dennis Kucinich

In that order.
Id go

Edwards
Kucinich
Dodd
Wes Clark
Feingold

Id be happy with any of those.

Key point is will anyone undo this past 8 yrs of fuckery?

anybody but her....

notice how edwards said its a two race between him and obama and that they're both for change and hillary is out. he's setting himself up to be vice if he loses. he calls obama's method philosophical and his direct and fierce, so they will have a balance together. he pretty much gave a finger to hillary, and chose a side.

yea, white folks would riot.

Obama/Edwards would be a powerful ticket!

Obama/Edwards would be nigh unbeatable. Huckabee who I see having a chance. Even though folks are sleeping on Ron Paul. The repubs only big gun is Rudy Fooliani, and he's been shooting blanks lately.

So the repubs dont stand much chance against Obama/Edwards.

you heard it here first...it will be Obama/Edwards, he will help with the south. Obama will bring young people and both black/white to the polls in record numbers.

you beat me 2 it pack Rat. Edwards will help him gain the key southern states. One thing you have to love about the electorial college all you have to do is target certain key states and your home free.:dance::dance:

I think Obama/Edwards would be alright, unless there's someone else out there whom the Obama camp could surprise us with. Edwards, being from NC, could help reel in the South (with his southern drawl regardless of his policy positions). Both men come from humble beginnings and appeal to the poor and working class.

Sounds good to me. Shit it would take all of them together to undo the bullshit.

I know I would like to see this man as Secretary Of State

A logical choice would be Al Gore. His popularity ratings are as high or higher than anyone else running. Hell, he won the popular vote twice! He has also been making rumblings under the radar that he might still throw his hat in the ring. The guys got a nobel peace prize, and is extremely intelligent. He'd be my natural choice if he'd take it. My second choice would go to John Edwards.

Lots of people would like to see Al Gore but he would not accept the position. Gore has a better shot than Obama or Clinton to be president if he had chose to run. Lots of Republicans want Gore. It'd be a powerful ticket but will not happen.

The most realistic shot of winning is Obama/Edwards.

The chances of an Obama/H. Clinton ticket are slim. Not a good move for Obama either because Hiliary would be looking to replace him in 2012 the whole time.

Now an Obama/Bill Clinton ticket... that'd be something of peculiar interest.

It'll be Joe Biden. Strong foreign policy experience and a friend to corporate interests (ie financial services industry). He has the experience and personality.

Edwards won't do it again.

However, remember John McCain asked Kerry to consider him as VP. So anything can happen. My money is on Joe Biden. Depending on how the national election goes we could see a Democratic gov. from a Red state like Mark Warner of Va. If Ohio is in play it will be Ted Strickland.

Hillary - Obama
or
Obama - Hillary

I like that ticket

I agree and plus he would be able to win a Red State...Arizona, New Mexico, and mabye sneak a victory in FL.

That's not logical.

Why would Al Gore be Vice President again? Shit, that's not even legal. :smh:

Clark endorsing Clinton doesn't have anything to do with the plausibility of him being a Vice-Presidential candidate. They're all Democrats. Whoever wins the nomination will be endorsed by the people who ran against them (for the most part). It's how politics works.

I'm calling bullshit on McCain asking Kerry to consider him as a running mate. Kerry asked McCain and he said no. McCain wouldn't go against the Republicans (back then). Whether he'd do it now would be a different story.

It's this dude...gives Obama Foreign Affairs credibility.

I remeber when he was the Supreme Commander of European Forces. He would be perfect fit mainly becuase he know's, and has been every where. Most countries know him when he was serving, not alone most policies where headed by him. He's been out since 03. I have a general's coin from him, very nice man.

John Edwards. His wife is terminally ill and will not survive for the 1st term. Obama will be a 2 term president. After Obama's 2nd term he could run and win.

daaammmm Obama and Wesley Clark would be a beast! Things would definitly be looking up! Obama trying to make peace and if someone fucks us Wesley Clark would come in and rip shit!!:dance: GOT MY VOTE!

Obama is a democrat. He will win Cali, New York, New Jersey, and his home state of Illinios. These are big states to have in his corner. I think he can carry the midwest states of Indiana, Ohio and Missouri, Michigan. He needs southern states like Tennessee, texas, Mississippi, Georgia Florida and such. Get him a VP the plays well in the south. Edwards would be a waste. Hillary won't be his VP. He doesn't need Kerry. He needs someone to get him the southern States and he will stroll into the white house.

I think he would be good for secretary of defense.

This will never work. You need to have at least one white man on your ticket.

I agree and plus he would be able to win a Red State...Arizona, New Mexico, and mabye sneak a victory in FL.

Hold up. I thought New Mexico is a blue state? Florida will be easy to win this time. The key is getting w.va back. See what people don't realize is everyone made a big fuss about Florida in the 2000 election. Florida wasn't Al Gore's key state. If people really knew politics, they would tell you that him not winning w.va is what made Gore lose that election. W.Va has been blue for ages. Some how bush slip that state under his belt. If Al Gore won w.va, the Florida debacle would have been an after thought.

I agree with you. I think he will have Florida. The key is getting west virgina back. W.Va has been blue for ages, but the last 2 elections it has. Kerry was too weak to get W.Va back. He should be able to get Ohio. Now if he can steal a southern state outside of florida, that will be key. Based on going to that rally he had in S.C. and the turnout he had, he may have a chance to do the unthinkable which is to steal S.C. To be honest he should be able to get states like S.C. and Miss. The population of blacks in Miss. is nearly neck and neck with whites, but they have slave mentality there. S.C. has nearly 40% black population there, but black folks don't vote in S.C.

That dude could probably run for most offices and win. He is a little old though. I wouldnt mind him being sec of defense or any of that shit. Creole Jack is the man. He's one of the only people who showed some fuckin leadership during that whole katrina fuck up

that's the thing about this vice president thing, you have to have someone who will be able to carry on after 8 years i think because it's not often you change VP's in between cycles. That's what is killing the republicans, so unless he works out something to get my dude Biden to be VP with a caveat that in four years they go with someone younger to carry on afterwards it is going to end up like this year. I did forget about wes Clark though.
