Yep. I did it...and I made a Larry Bird thread a couple of weeks ago. Bird was my initial thought...But I'm rolling with Lebron even though my team would be missing a 3 pointer shooter and Bird would be perfect..and that fact that Oscar gives me that all around player already as well... Pippen was a great player...but not good enough to make my first, second, or third team....
Also, I don't think that currently Lebron is higher on the all-time list than Bird... I just think that Lebron gives me a player on that squad with a bit more versatility and also a better defender

I think Shaq would be a match up nightmare for Russel (as great as he was) due to the physicality of today's game, I was going to go with Magic over the big O but I think Roberson was a better scorer and better outside shooter.
I wanted to put Shaq in BAD but I just can't do it over Kareem.
I thought about it to... Shaq is his prime was ridiculous...but Kareem had the most "undefendable" shot in NBA history... can you imagine having to deal with Kareem and his sky hook on one side of the post and then Jordan and his fadeaway on the other side of the post

That SF position is not the deepest on the court though. That's my Pippen argument. I mean gaurds and centers dominated the 70's and 80's. Power forward was deep with the Moses Malones (I was sayng Karl) and Barkley's and Duncan's and such. SF is a light position for great talent.

Wilt's great no doubt but i think head to head in their primes Olajuwon is just too good at the basket,away from the basket and on D to consider otherwise.

Wilt was a great athlete. He was an NCAA champion hurdler. He was agile too. Wilt's biggest problem was that he was so much better athletically than everyone else that the NBA had to change the rules to make it fair. He had the body type of Dwight Howard and he was three inches taller and had an unstoppable post package. Don't sleep on Wilt he did average 50.4 points one season.
Pippen over Havlicek is ridiculous, nevermind a dozen other great small forwards. You obviously were born in the '80s (or '90s).
I’ve said this before, but I don’t know how someone can win six titles, be a seven-time All-Star and an eight-time All-Defensive First Team member and still be underrated. Somehow Scottie Pippen is. He is undoubtedly the best defensive small forward to ever play the game, probably the best defensive player I’ve ever seen, and certainly the best player in NBA Jam Tournament Edition. The stat I love the most when it comes to Scottie was that in 1994-1995 he lead his team in every major stat – points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. That is insane. He was the first guy to do that since Dave Cowens in 1977-78, and no one has done it since. Not Jordan, not Lebron, not anyone.

I hated Scottie Pippen but I respected him and as a basketball player and coach I recognize what kind of player he was. He was the greatest defender ever on the ball off the ball against points, wings or posts. He was a dick but he was the shit.
