The Brothers Johnson made this a Classic! A tremendous improvement over the Chuggie version. You can hear distinct periods of time in Popular Music with each version. Free Love/Hippie era, the Disco Era, and the New Jack Swing with a UK twist from the late 80s to early 90s.That's a hard pick between Stevie and Donnell. I knew the original before the remake, but Jones take on it was very modern but classy. I think it was what was needed when it was released.
