Who makes the BEST ROTI in your city?

I've never gotten into Roti. Dunno, it just never moved me.

Give me a Chicken or Beef Patty and some sweet, hot Coco bread and I'm so good to go!

lol @ gyros...

anyway, in boston we got Ali's on blue hill ave. a few other too. We got this trini family in JP that turned the garage into a kitchen and they make rotis on the weekends..shits gooood

Too many options in BK
Too many options in DC/MD
Too many options in Miami
Too many options in ATL

All you hadda do is hang around Trinis or Guyanese people. :dunno:

and how exactly do you say it?

is it like rotty (like the nickname for a rottweiler)

or like roety or row-T

does it rhyme with hottie??

and wtf is "buss up shut"

ROW-TEE... and make sure to pronounce the TEE. i hate hearing white/non caribbean people saying, hey can i get a ROW-DEE?

there 2 main types of roti... Paratha (aka buss up shut) and Dhalpuri. basically dhalpuri has chick peas in the dough and paratha doesn't.

damn.. yall makin me hungry for that right now.

My favorite spot in Toronto is Island Foods

http://www.island-foods.com/

i prefer ali's roti just up the street on king, if i'm in the that area... i live out in the westend so i go to alima's in brampton.

Her mom and her brothas used to try to give me those hot ass peppers out that fucked up jar that have been marinating in it for a few months and shit. Hot Fiyah!

Have your face like  When you get used to it though, shit was so good.

yes lord,Ali's on nostrand ave is awesome, doubles always sold out too
My wife knows the owner of Ali's and even worked with them when she was younger, like them she makes her shit from scratch, and when ever there is a party, her friends pay her big cash to hook them up! I would bless the board with her recipe but she would never give that shit out to a Yankee, she scared that we may drive them out of business!

Just finished my veggie dhalpourie, lots of pepper, little potatoes from Ali's and damn that shit was good!

Bought to go meet my sister in Pearland she says there's a roti spot down the street from her. I'm eating ROTI tonight!
