This topic is always heavy and loaded. If this article was written by a caucasian then you know they want to point out that there two types of blacks in America. If this was written by a black American, he/she could be trying to "wake" us up and point out that we need to do more. If this was written by a black African, he/she may also be trying to wake us up and get us to where we really need to be.
Not all of us will get them bachelors, masters and PHDs, but we can certainly do better for ourselves by striving harder and not take the easy way out. in regards to the acting roles, the casting agents and producers probably are thinking the best actress got the job and not how we're seeing it.

Foreign blacks understand this is a "capitalistic society" and came here going straight after the money...blue collard jobs, odd jobs, creating legal hustle and not so legal hustles... They jumped on the money than learned to flip it... Us black Americans were brainwashed by the concept called "college" and the other backup plan "military"... They ran both those commercials consistently everyday multiple times a day for damn near 2 decades during kid cartoons, black programs, etc... Remember the term "a mind is a terrible thing to waste"...people were brainwashed into thinking about school...majority couldn't afford it so they took out loans and created debt...they also was in school multiple yrs unemployed..by the time they graduated they was 10,000s in debt, unemployed, with no experience...meanwhile same foreign kid during that 4 yr span was working, accumulated 10,000s of dollars, zero debt, prob got a car , crib, and had job experience...with that money he got licenses, etc...black American in debt with no employment foreign black with money , experience, and certificates..2 people with 2 diff focuses
I agree with most of your post but most foreigners dont come to America empty handed. They normally have bread and or education in their homeland. Ill also add moving to another country and progressing is a different experience than staying in your home country trying to progress.
I've met some that the only thing that they had was some friends that lived here...pretty much they get to stay at the apt/house, maybe given a few clothes, and pointed in the right direction to work..whether it be a odd job, under the table job, minimum wage job, or a decent job...I use to get money with Africans so I literally watch their operation on how they hook up their people from out the country...Africans ain't the only 1 that setup shop like that.. It's why I use to tell people watch and observe jobs that you see lots of foreigners gravitate to cause it's hidden money in it...like transportation/cabs, construction, custodian, etc, now the food delivery services...it's been 1 of the quiet secrets for decades..than watch the natural progress that person has from yr 1 to yr 5 to yr 10

If you pay attention to my previous post I explained all foreign minorities had legal hustles,non legal hustles, under the table jobs, minimum paying jobs, decent jobs... Many civil rights leaders were in constant contact with the revolutionaries on the African continent. Malcom often spoke of reaching out and exchanging ideas with African revolutionaries. Lamumba, Toure, and many others were all fighting for the same thing that ADOS fought for here, and like brother Malcolm, they were assassinated. The sooner all melanated people quit the divisive rhetoric the better all our lives will be.
