Who here has gotten vaccinated?

I got a call from my primary to set an appointment for the vaccine this month...but I'm conflicted..

On the one hand, there is an outcry that nonwhites are not getting the vaccine or have access to it in adequate numbers

on the other hand who the hell wants to be a guinea pig

My biggest concern is the possible bad side effects...in the instructions for the vaccine, it said that after the shot you have to wait around for 15-30 minutes for observation.

that's not encouraging...:smh::smh::smh:

So who here has gotten it?

I got the Moderna vaccine.

First shot I felt a little light headedness for a minute or 2 right after(which is rare) and my shoulder/arm was a little sore the next day.
Second shot I had a fever, body ache, and shoulder soreness the next day. I felt a little "foggy" for maybe 2 days.It took me a couple days to get back to 100%.
Nothing you can't handle. If you've ever had the flu then that's pretty much what if feels like after the second shot due to your immune system's response to the vaccine's training it to handle covid-19. Some people dont feel anything though after the second shot. If I remember correctly about 60% feel shitty the next day.

The 15 minutes is to monitor to make sure you don't have an allergic reaction. Some people have allergies that may be triggered. They will ask you if you have any allergies. Are you someone that has to carry around an EpiPen?

naw...i don't... but that makes be feel a bit better thanx...

I got the Pfizer vaccine. First shot, I felt nothing. Second shot, on the first night, my shoulder felt like it did after I had rotator cuff surgery. The next day I felt like I had been in an accident. I needed a Tylenol to get though that second night. The lymph node in my armpit swelled up. 5 days later, still some swelling. I never felt sick, just the pain on the side I got the shot.

2 people in my close fam got it over 1 month ago and they have had no problems. They work in the hospital and all the workers had to get the vaccine, I haven't heard of any side effects.

Go to our thread folks have been telling their stories of vaccinations I am now more than 2 weeks past my second dose of Moderna. Doing well.

I know SEVERAL who have gotten it. Doctors and hospital workers who've gotten it weeks ago and its been all good. I know some people in their 70's and 80s who have gotten it.

Waiting my turn.

I got the moderna on Friday. My arm hurt like hell for two days and that was about it. I hear the 2nd dose is where ill experience the true side effects.

My mom who is 69 and my grandmother who is 87 both received the pfizer. They only complained of arm soreness on the 2nd dose.

I think the moderna has much more medicine(or whatever it is) in it than the pfizer.

I got my second dose this past Tuesday. My arm was sore for a few days but man it made me feel weak for a few days.

I'm about to in a few I will let you know how it goes

I got the Pfizer because I’m old. First shot, just some tenderness in the injection site. A little weed took care of my sleeping like a baby. I get the second shot Tuesday and I’ll let you know.
I got my second Pfizer shot Tuesday. As of Saturday, I’m not having a problem. A soreness in the injection site for a few days and all is good

Dad's aunt and uncle in Olympia, WA got their first shots. They go back on March 6th & 9th for the second ones.

They're 81 and 85 with a number of health issues. No side effects after the 1st shot for them.

The aunt's older sister passed away in November. Mentioned it in a few other threads. She was in her early-90s and had been battling dementia, shingles, and pneumonia. Covid got her in the end (assisted care facility). Rest in peace.

My grandmother took it and later got diagnosed with covid. That's all the confirmation I needed this while thing is a hoax. Ill never take it
So.... your grandmother vs. Everyone else...
Do you think he would have gotten covid if he hadn't gotten the shot and would his case been more or less severe?
P.S. I apologize ahead of time for asking you to "think" instead of just "reacting" .. I know how painful this process can be for you "Conspiracy Nighas".

All the old folks on my side of the family got the shot, after some relatives got Covid. Some got Pfizer some got Moderna. I havent got one, dont plan on it.

I got the Pfizer vaccine. After the second shot, I had a swollen lymph node beside the collarbone. After 10 days the swelling went down. no other side effects.

My original plan dating back to last year was not to be in the first wave and I see no reason to deviate. Eventually, the shit will become routine for me like the flu vaccine.

Folks should check out the flu vaccine thread on here that predates COVID to see who many folks don't even fuck with the flu shot. The range of people saying they didn't fuck with the flu shot was interesting. Wonder if they feel the same about this. More politics involved now, so most probably keep it to themselves.

R.I.P. brah

Just an interesting conversation regarding Covid Mutations:

This report seems to cosign what he said about Manaus, Brazil:

Wife is a doctor so she has been fully vaccinated since the beginning of February. No side effects at all. Wait no....same as a flu shot her arm was sore for a day where she got the shot. Niece is a nurse, she's fully vaccinated as well. No side effects.

Brother in law and his wife both got Covid.....she got a runny nose and a headache. He's still on a ventilator and they're talking about needed a lung transplant. Don't let dudes in here sway you. Y'all in here talking about Tuskegee experiment and white people are going into Black and Hispanic areas to get the vaccine that you're wondering about. Doctor in Washington Heights said he'd never seen so many white people in that area before.

Think hard about that for a minute.

Only reason I'm not vaccinated is cause NY is running low on doses.
