While Texans are paying high ass Electric Bills.....

it could be substantially lower if the suburb of Dallas that I stay in was deregulated.
I live in the only city in Dallas County that is not deregulated.......so i can't use any other utility provider other than what the city provides.
Bro, I'm stuck with coserv. I think we might have to add solar, battery backup and change my windows and add solar screens. TX is shitty when it comes to the grid.

Yeah they did some rolling blackouts on yesterday because the temp got to 108.....it's likely to happen again today because it may get up to 110.
They be like...."oh....u not gonna turn your a/c off for a little while? Then we'll do it for you."

fuck yo solar panels as an energy saver, a record label, and as a muthafuckin crew....
Yo, I got tears in my eyes man

You know what, just because of you I'm going on a work trip for 3 weeks.

I was going to leave my air on, since I basically got free electricity, but I'm gonna cut my air off while I'm gone :giggle:

Captain Planet. He's out hero. Gonna bring electric bills below zero

Mine was -$17.00 last month. Thanks to solar
Well-played fam. Mine is in the high 200s.

But as a kid I promised myself I would never, ever, ever, ever sit through heat. Never, ever, ever, ever ration AC. Turn my AC on in May, and don't shut it off until it's cold cold. Ain't nothing worse than being un fucking comfortable in your own home.

Google to invest $25 billion in data centers and AI infrastructure across largest U.S. electric grid

Key Points
  • Google will spend $25 billion on data centers and artificial intelligence infrastructure in the PJM electric grid region over the next two years.
  • PJM is the biggest electric grid in the nation, covering 13 states across the mid-Atlantic and parts of the Midwest and South.
  • Google also signed a framework agreement to purchase hydroelectric power from Brookfield Asset Management.

The national grid needs a major update!!

We need to make these updates before we allow all these data centers to be built

The amount of "dirty power" and interference they cause now is still relatively minor.....

Allowed to continue sprouting up unchecked and this shit will be a major problem in a decade or less

Drive a huge pickup truck or other dinosaur car. Can't lift a finger to put a few solar panels up.

Just paid $344 here in SATX, up from $282 last month.

I do work from home though and my daughter drives a plug in hybrid.
