I’m saying Lebron obviously never had a relationship with this guy, like I never had a relationship with my half-sister. If something happened to her mother, like something happened to this guys mother, and she came to me saying “hey i’m your half-sister and I need help with my moms funeral I know you got the money”, I wouldn’t feel obligated to help her just because she happens to be my half sister but I never had a relationship with her. It would be the same if the tables were turned, i wouldn’t feel she was obligated to help me if I was in need but never had a relationship with her

I always said if I hit the lotto for hundreds of millions I wouldn't give family money in hand. It wouldn't do shit but fuck them up. Imagine giving a family member on drugs big money. You would be burying them in a year. Imagine buying them a house that they can't keep up the taxes on. They would be homeless in three years begging you for money and blaming you for them being homeless when you didn't give them more money. Giving them money beyond their earning potential would only complicate their existence. What I would do is set up a scholarship fund for the kids of the family through some kind of trust. That way I could help change the family through generations and earn the respect of the youth of the family that I ain't even met yet and never will meet. I will have potentially helped create doctors, lawyers, politicians, skilled tradesmen, etc in the family and made my family name strong from my winnings all while still making sure my immediate family is straight.
