I have never had a biological sibling in anyway possible. The closest things I have are 1st cousins who I treat like my brother and sisters. If I had a half brother or half sister anywhere in this world... I would make sure we had a relationship together.
I cannot blame the sins of my father on the children that he may have bore. I am not going to admonish LeBron James for his stance on his half brother but I could not react that way.

I've always find that the more I help family members that are destitute, the more they start to resent me. It's been a mystery as who his father was and it's none of our business either but it does explain where his genetics come from and it's %100 is father and brother.
But Lebron handles it the way he sees best and I think from watching his doc early on that he yearned for a family besides his mother,this is why he was so close to his high school friends and still is to this day.

As a kid my dad was a struggling business owner (think Bob's Burgers but with building supplies). Back then we were all right with cousins, uncles, etc.
As a teenager the business took off and gradually we saw a lot less of those relatives. Some of it was because of religion, but a lot of it was the money.
In one cases my cousin was arrested for armed robbery. My dad lent my aunt $5k to hire a lawyer. When my dad asked for it back my aunt said "lawyer wasn't shit. All he did was tell him to confess. Besides, you should have known I wasn't gonna pay you back."
