When It Comes to Policy, Biden and Trump Aren't That Different

No anger here. As I said, I follow POLICIES, not people or parties.

Tell us geechie, since you don’t pay attention to stats or data, how do you determine if a policy is working or not? For example, Biden says he will cut childhood poverty in half. How do you measure that?
1. that particular policy of glaudes was wrong and he admitted it but your still following it so what does that say about you?

2. I don't believe biden can do that and neither do you... :rolleyes2::rolleyes2::rolleyes2:

What deplorable conditions? Are the people at the centers being given food/medical care/clean clothing? Are they allowed to bathe which is something that I remember being a problem under the last administration? What are they supposed to do with the children? Give them a bottle of water, tell them "good luck" and send them back across the border by themselves?

  1. It says that I have a difference of opinion with him about the issue.
  2. Where did I ever say I believed Biden could? The fact of the matter is that Biden himself said he could. So it’s not simply a matter of whether you believe it or not. The question is how will you measure what impact, if any, his policies have on childhood poverty?

Did you read the article?

What's more, the Cato Institute's immigration expert David Bier wrote recently that the Biden administration's changes to the "remain in Mexico" policy make the situation even worse. Families that try to cross together are still sent back to Mexico; however, unlike under the Trump administration, they aren't given a court date to make their case for asylum, or any sort of asylum process, for that matter. They are just sent back to wait in Mexico. Wait for what? It's unclear.

Black people just arent ready to use their brains. We (not me) were easily herded into the voting boothes based off emotion.
These motherfuckers still happy about the bad hand they were dealt just cause

Gtfoh with those white racist talking points. You think so little about your own people that you don't think they're qualified to make an informed decision? That's coon shit.

whats your position on immigration becuz you seem to be concerned that biden is returning mexicans back to their country.. yet in an eariler threar you said:

I’m just saying, you seem to be offended by the idea of a Black economic agenda and have no problem with immigration and LGTB being prioritized over it. So I apologize for assuming that you’re a Black man who would be concerned about your own people.

which side of this issue are you on?? do you want more mexicans in the country or not???

Did you actually read what I wrote? Show me where I mentioned anything about families in my original statement. I doubt that only families are making the trek here.
Wait, you thought I was saying to separate the children from their families & send them back alone?

I’ve stated my position on immigration a number of times. Be industrious and go find it.

Now, Mr “Vote Democrat by any means necessary”, tell us how you gauge the efficacy of a policy if you do not look at measurable outcomes or data? Do you actually believe in policy solutions to problems or just what party is in office?

I’ll ask again - did you read the article?

While the Biden administration promised an end to Trump's immigration policies, the sheer number of kids effectively still locked up in deplorable conditions exposes the Biden administration's delayed action—or possibly unwillingness—to reform the underlying policies that drive migrant children to show up unaccompanied at the border.
For starters, families who show up to ask for asylum are sent back, while unaccompanied children who cross the border will get into the country. That's an incentive to send kids alone. Moreover, it's still the policy to separate children from their more distant relatives when they show up at the border. These rules, combined with the large population that has built up over time under Trump, explains part of the increase in these border detentions.

and I've answered that question... be industrious and go find it. see I can do that too.

Oh yes, you said you “don’t care” to talk about any relevant data or measurable information. :rolleyes2: So you have no real-world way of ascertaining whether a policy results in an improvement or not. :smh:

i didn't say I don't look at data I said I don't care to talk about it... at the end of the day we all have to make a choice and that choice is based on past events and issues and how they were dealt with BUT its also based on the likelihood of possibilities of getting those things changed. I said this before in another thread

theres various news and reports that will be available when the numbers are determined... and then theres you and xfactor and sav etc.....I'm sure if its not good you won't hesitate to post it all over bgol in what can only be described as a trolling circle jerk. :rolleyes2: :rolleyes2: :rolleyes2:

which side is trying to prevent people from voting and which side is trying to make voting easier. If Trump were in office, would he be trying to restrict voting or would he be trying to keep states from making voting harder ?
One side is actively trying to get less black people to vote... and their dear leader is Donald Trump. ...and it's not like the dems are doing the same thing, but the other way. If both parties were the same in 2021, you'd see Biden and the dems in congress trying to get white southerners and non-college grads to not vote.

Where are those "lesser of two evils" negroes at?

When the numbers are determined? There are numbers out there right now? Do you “not care to talk about” those? And then there will be numbers a year from now. Then you can evaluate whether a policy had a successful outcome (depending on the measured time range).

But critical analysis is “trolling” to you?!?! If anything, if there are positive outcomes to Biden’s policies, then that’s ammunition for you and the other Bidets. “See, this is why we need to support the Dems in 2022. Their policies led to massive reductions in Black poverty, child party, et al. Just look at these numbers.”

The thing about this is one white supremacist is out in the open while the other is closeted and seen as a savior. The one seen as the savior is the most dangerous.

I did read the article. The author doesn't elaborate about why things there are bad & claimed that children are separated from distant relatives. I can't find anything to substantiate that claim. My original statement was about 2 things: the conditions of the facilities & unaccompanied children. You...brought up families not being given court dates for hearings for some reason :dunno:.

Did you read my first page? I will post it again for your convenience:

When the numbers are determined? There are numbers out there right now? Do you “not care to talk about” those? And then there will be numbers a year from now. Then you can evaluate whether a policy had a successful outcome (depending on the measured time range).

This means that you assess the numbers at the time the policy is implemented....and then assess the numbers after the policy has had time to take effect. YOU CANNOT DO THIS IF YOU “DO NOT CARE” TO LOOK AT OR TALK ABOUT THE NUMBERS AT ALL!

This is not a difficult concept to understand. How do you determine if a policy works or not?!?!?!?

That’s just it. You’re asleep. You cannot answer on a fundamental level why you support the party and candidates that you do. :smh:

I brought up what the article was discussing. As for the conditions of the facilities, this is from today:https://www.nydailynews.com/news/po...0210322-g3tcdouuq5affddzvasw2mmdhm-story.html

And the article discussed the unaccompanied children:

For starters, families who show up to ask for asylum are sent back, while unaccompanied children who cross the border will get into the country. That's an incentive to send kids alone.

And the main point of the first part of the article remains: Biden’s policies in this regard aren’t much different from Trump’s.

I’m glad actually. The root problem has been exposed. Which is why you’re responding with emojis and memes. How old are you again? 55?
so you gonna it up your boy glaude and ask him why he betrayed his own idea??? or are you going to bury your head in the sand to it and be mad at me for pointing it out?

How can you point something out that I already know? You're good at searching my post history.......please find any posts where I've said I stand behind everything he says? I support beneficial policies, not parties or people.

And I am talking to YOU, not him. So tell us geechie, how do you determine whether a policy is working or has worked? Why do you vote for who you vote for?

I knew...but it was irrelevant to me. I still regard down-ballot voting as viable political option that should be used. He articulated a particular vesion of it that you still have yet to understand. Perhaps, if you actually begin looking at statistical information today as it pertains to various policies, you will understand this in 2024. Otherwise, how will you determine whether Biden has been a "successful" president or not? Will you be able to gauge this at all? Or will you "just vote Dem because that's the only option"?

he didn't use it in 2020 then he said he made a mistake with it...thats all that matters..you can't get around that fact and your pissed about it
maybe by 2024 YOU will understand why it won't work...

How am I pissed? That's his decision. He has a job on MSNBC to worry about.

The point still remains: how will YOU determine whether Biden has been a "successful" president or not? Will you be able to gauge this at all? Or will you "just vote Dem because that's the only option"?

so thats the excuse you give him for turning his back on you and abandoning his own election strategy and voting for a man who in your estimation is no better than trump?? He's a got a cushy gig to protect so he gets a pass....but you're hounding ME??   talk about head in the sand....:smh::smh::smh:
And if the choice is vs. republicans it is....hell even Glaude said that.. something about how he'd vote if he was alive by election day.. dude YOU brought him up a while ago as an example of blank out..YOU did that..not me..YOU. deal with it.
