My girl has a friend that sells Gucci bags. She threw a "purse party" at her house for her friend. In exchange for throwing this party she got a free purse. Apparently this is common among the lady folk.

She invited about 5 friends from her job to come to the party and all five of them bought purses. Well about two months after the party one of her friends comes back with her purse and says that the paint is rubbing off the bottom.

Here's the kicker. She says that it is my girl's fault and that she should go get her money back because the party was at her house. My girl said no and now her "friend" is going around the office harassing her and telling everybody that she sells bad bootleg purses. They have know each other for ten years.

Now she is feeling bad and saying it may be her fault. I said bullshit and of course this started an argument. Am I wrong ladies? Does she have fault in this situation? I mean nobody told her friend to buy a purse?

While I do not think it is her fault. The girl feels as if she allowed this other female to have the purses at the party she should have known if it was legit or not. But common sense to most women who know purses like myself know that Gucci,Coach,Dooney and Burke,etc. are very expensive and are not under $200 unless you find it on sale somewhere. That girl is just being a bitch she knew that purse was fake.

You can't be a salesperson if you give up your profit at the first hint of buyer's remorse. Tell her that.

Also, let her know, that part of selling is to keep the buyer engaged after you've delivered the product. If she can't figure out how to do either one of these, she need to stop having purse parties.

If the Chinese people don't give refunds, your girl shouldn't either. Her co-worker tried to play off their "friendship" to get even more of a hookup, when it didn't work, she nutted up. If your girl had a "no refunds, no exchanges" policy up front, it would be a no brainer, but if that wasn't stated to begin with, it might be worth it to fix the problem if she thinks those people are good for repeat and add-on business.

Fixing it now may not repair the friendship. Maybe she could offer a 50% refund as an peace offering of sorts (she'd have to be clear about the fact that its a one time deal) because that's good business - fuck her co-worker - just depends on if she thinks its worth it or not.

The bottom line is that you get what you pay for...

I've been saying all of this to her all week, but to hear it from complete strangers really caught her attention. She even wanted to print out the page and take it to work to show ol' girl how many people was co-signing.
