What was the first CD you ever bought. Not the first one you listened to, but the first one you went out and spent your own money on.

For me, Coming out of bootcamp I got sent to A-School in Meridian, MS in January '96. Chillin' in the barracks down there I copped:

Chanté Moore - A Love Supreme

Very smooth, mellow, sexual, with some love feel and heartbreak songs near the end to wrap up the CD. Some chick I was digging had it and it was playing every time I went to her room and it grew on me. Start to finish it is one of the most complete CDs I ever bought. Loved it, still do.

I think I bought my first CDs in 1987. I'm pretty sure I didn't buy a single one. I ran the Columbia House get 10 free and buy 1 over the next 2 years scam.:lol::lol::lol:

But I'm pretty sure this was one of the ones in that first pack of 10:

And yes. The album is now a classic. Changed the <strike>rap</strike> music game forever.@ Dre and Cube today. Who would have ever thunk it.

I bet it was about 2 grand back in those days.

Nah.

That CD Player actually cost me between $250 and $300 back then. But I had to work hard to fork the money over for it.
I really regret tossing that thing when it stopped working almost 25 years later. Shit is those days were built like tanks.

Unlike all this plastic-metal-looking crap today.
