Was that before or after James Gandolfini passed away?
This was last year, IIRC.
I ask cuz he probably stated that cuz Gandolfini had died.
If he was still alive, it would have left the story open for HBO to do a movie with Gandolfini to show what happened in the diner.
It’s probably why he left it off like he did not thinking Gandolfini would actually die in real life.
But with AI the way it has progressed, he could possibly still do a movie to officially close it out with a AI Gandolfini.
We will wait and see…
