The lack of good song writers is the main reason why Old School music is now in such high demand today and why many groups have either one hit song or album and then disappear. Creative writers have become as hard to find as virgins in a maternity ward.

Song is played on the radio, paid, tv ad, paid, tv, paid, movie, paid, restaurant, paid. Split 50/50 (or what ever the deal is) with the publisher.
