Typically I set foot in Wally world once a month if that. I needed a few items. Tazo Chai tea, sparkling water, hot sauce and a watermelon.

I get 8 containers of liquid Tazo Chai Tea, I also get 14 sparkling waters, these jawns was just .92 cents each. Also, one bottle of hot sauce and 2 watermelons.

I get to the store early, they open at 7am, I walk in at 7:15am. I refuse to enter a Walmart after an hour of opening.

So I get to the self checkout since the cashier ones are not open.

I begin ringing up my items. next thing I know an attendant comes over, excuse me Sir, my manager says you can only purchase 5 items or less.

I'm like what??? Just 5 items when the shelves are bursting? She was a sweet young lady, I could tell her manager was on some fuck shit.

I wasn't taking those items back, I left them stacked next to the register.

WTF Walmart!!! No notes on the shelf beside the merchandise stating there are limits! You waiting till I load up my cart and make my way to the register.

I'm debating if I should return later this evening to get the remaining items, or simply got to another Walmart.

Yeah what kind of fuck shit is that? I’ve never heard of a store limiting the amount of items you can purchase unless you get a 100 of the same item of done shit like that and even then I’ve never personally seen it. I would’ve Karened up and ask for the manager or said fuck it and keep scanning. Let her go get the manager if it was that serious.

It's Walmart.

They do have some good clearance items. I check the clearance section and bakery clearance. I get those garlic knots and stuff like that on the cheap.

I got a couple of miss patties peach cobblers and just froze them for later. Can't eat like that daily but every once in a while I'll indulge.

You also got to watch your receipt there. I took pictures of the shelf price and they rang up different...I showed the manager and they said oh, Johhny didn't come in today, he's supposed to change the shelf prices, whatever rings up is the updated price....

Then had the nerve to say he would take a couple bucks off the total bill but not ring everything up for what it said on the shelf!

I let him leave, rang everything up, took the receipt to customer service and showed them my pictures and they reimbursed me my money, it was like a 15 dollar difference!

5 or one item or 5 items total at the self checkout?

5 items total at the self checkout is ridiculous so imm going to guess that it was a limit to 5 of one specific item.

Which is still a bit much unless you're purchasing items that are popular or questionable items like 5 cough syrups.

You gotta go rogue. I know one time I was at Mc Donald's in Flatbush and the bitch aint want to give me the code to use the bathroom.

Cool, so I went back to where the bathroom was and whipped out my dick and piss everywhere. Now you got to mopped up about a gallon of fresh piss dumb bitch. It could have been avoided doing the right thing.

In saying that, next time open a couple of packages of whatever and dump the shit everywhere. That is if you payed in cash.

I had 8 Tazo Chai Tea, I had to put 3 back.

I had 14 of the sparkling waters, she made me put 9 back.

For my Charlotte NC family, this happened at the janky one at 7735 N Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28262.

Next time I'm just going to the one in Huntersville at 11145 Bryton Town Center Dr, Huntersville, NC 28078

Yeap, I saw them (right on your face). They also had them on several of the isles. Wasnt always like that. The vibe made it feel like all the customers were criminals. So I stopped shopping there.

That is how I feel about Kroger. They lock up toiletries now, cameras everywhere, and workers walk around watching you more than doing any real work. Plus those entry and exit gates.

I don't like that experience at all. I'd rather pay more to shop at Publix for a more pleasant experience. I ain't at Whole Foods level just yet.

Prior to covid, my local walmart neighborhood market (smaller than the super stores) added cameras all over the store, including the registers. I didn't like that and havent been back since.
There's cameras above every self checkout

At the Walmart in my city the camera is pointed directly at you in self checkout and you can see yourself on the screen..lol oh yeah they also have lil tv screens down some aisles and you can see yourself in those screens

Told ya in another thread how often this happen at the register if you don’t calculate everything yourself b4 hand. I’m a Jew I mentally calculate everything b4 hand and it’s been countless amount of times over the decades the register was wrong and cashier had to get the special key or card or call the manager to get the correct price

Bro it was straight robbery. Now THAT would be something I would make a ticktok video for if I were into that...so people could see the price difference from the shelf and what it rang up for.

Literally it was some stuff I only got cause it was a great low price on the shelf and then it rang up a dollar or more over.

Math is the universal language for a reason. If anything utilize math for economic purposes. These companies be making extra money cause lot of people don’t do basic calculations. I can only imagine how much fuckery goes on for people who just swipe their card without paying attention

One of my exes used to get so mad cause I actually buy based on the price per ounce rather than the sales price. One tub of butter might be 3.00, the other is 4.29 but you get more for less per ounce....she would buy the lower price and I'd explain you are paying more for less.

She also got mad that I would gas up 15 miles from home at Costco rather than pay more a block away. OOOOOOOHWEE that used to make her hot at me lol.

She wanted to just throw it in the bag regardless of price. We didn't last long!

I'm an economist at heart. I take all angles into consideration...time value of money but also safety, economy of scale, etc.
