It’s a lot more complicated than the papa was a rolling stone narrative. I didn’t grow up with my father in my life. My uncle told me about my father. The government went to all the rural, poor areas and forced black men to go to the front lines of the vietnam war. My uncle said my father came back different….
Now some of these dudes are just deadbeats for no reason, but alot of this shit seems like a setup.
Imo this isn't just about the dudes. We have two generations of Black women that have been taught that they don't need a man, husband or father in the home.
