Thats why I put the sign, date and my bgol name on mine. I know how you bgol cats are. I'm not a thug though I just carry it for protection...never been in any trouble.

i clean my stuff when i have time. i had just come in from the range that's why they dirty. that colt is antique. i think it was made in 1903. if i blue it , then the value decreases.

What does getting it teflon coated do? What are the benefits?

it makes the weapon extremely corrosion resistant especially from salt spray or sweat. if the internals and slide are coated there's a serious reduction in heat build up from friction and it makes cleaning a hell of a lot easier..
last but not least it keeps the "finish" on black weapons, so that they don't have that "used" look after awhile from repeated use or holster draw.
