I am a movie dude. My DVD collection is over 800, and that doesn't count my digital movies. Some movies are classics, yes. But some others, maybe classics, maybe not, you can watch over and over again. Whether you keep the movie downstairs close to your DVD/Blu-Ray player, or whether you stop for 10, 15, 30 minutes when you see it on TNT or TBS. Here are 4 that I can watch over and over again. What's yours?
The Shawshank Redemption - 1994
Amazing for a movie that would be considered a flop in the theaters grew from that to classic. The critics don't know shit.
Sorry, I couldn't help it. Saw this picture when looking for the poster. It was funny
The Green Mile - 1999
For a 3 hour movie, it sure doesn't feel like it. This movie never drags.
Harlem Nights - 1989
Only critics would consider a movie that is a huge fan favorite and with a $90 million cume compared to a $30 million budget a failure. The Critics don't know shit.
Add to this the fact that Eddie Murphy got a chance to work with and direct not one, but TWO of his greatest comedic idols...priceless, especially considering that this was their last significant roles on film.
Ray - 2004
I was so immersed in this movie that it wasn't until he took off his glasses at the end of the movie that I was like, "Jamie Foxx is in this movie?"
